  • No real bugs were died in the making of this film.

  • Not bad! I'm thinking of having a go myself. Trying to pick a day that isn't windy or wet is my problem. LOL

  • Im not sure about the EPA issues but good on you for having a crack and ending up with a half decent job. I do a fair bit of acrylic but now looking @ this i might have a crack at painting my BMW which was vandalised. Might do it in my garage and use a decent mask though.

  • EPA does NOT deal with residental areas. only businesses. your local councils does. you need to check with them if the use of two-pack polyurethane is allowed. i know for a fact here in Sydney NSW you can spray all day as long as.

    1. your not running a business

    2. your neighbours are not complaining i.e not endangering their health etc.

  • a few burnouts should clean the tyre up nicely

  • To keep from getting orange peel I would use a larger compressor. At least an 80 gallon. PSI is everything.

  • y don't u tell us about your last holiday aswell

  • shit job ,,,u talk too much , try showing how u paint

  • should have done the driveway as well look good.

  • SHUT :UP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i need help ion single stage paint i have done many bc/cc painting but i have never done single stage .... i just went to the store today and got some single stage paint ppg 9300 witch is the blackest black ever it should make black car that park next to it less black ... any way i have never sprayed ss so if any one can help that would be great

  • funny thing is as a painter if i painted in my driveway e.p.a. would fuck me up the ass.but this clown can. good quality paint by the way cheap shit hi chem which doesnt hold a candle to spies hecker, dupont or glasurit.

  • 2-pak out on the street LOL Did anybody ring the EPA ? Obviously some people dont know how dangerous the stuff is.

  • My biggest hassle is trying to find somewhere to paint my car, it's starting to give me the shits

  • wonder if the neighbours like the smell of the 2k paint, i know i used to mix it up for customers and bodyshops and it stinks, oh and it has lead in it thats why you use a air fed mask.

  • white is easy to see from distance

  • i've got a fairly hefty scratch on my back bumper (only on the bumper so it might not be too expensive to replace) but i wanna try repainting it with an air compressor.. if the scratch is say 15cmx25cms which has gone through the clear coat and everything, and i sand it all down so it's flat and nice to paint on (prepped properly) will i be able to respray that.. or will i need to prep the whole bumper?? car is a 2005 model so it's fairly new good looking paint.. dont want it to be too noticable

  • @pokehimon paint and clearcoat over the paint then just buy a spray can blender and blend it good..... buff and your ready... im sure you fixed it but just in case

  • if u paint 2 pack without a oven or with a oven the first thing u must have is a air fed mask !! this 2 pack paint is lethal !!

  • good on you bloke, having a go, without the toss involved spending stupid coin on ridiculous paint finishes that would feed the southern half of african orphans for a year.

    top effort.

  • same gun as mine :)

  • Mrfireblade I musta read your comment about three times prob the funniest thing iv ever seen. Quality lmao!!

  • I would definitely leave the bugs stuck to the fender and add some flys and bees if possible, mate.

  • looks good did u paint it at home?

  • Jason Donovan, is that you? lol

  • i say if are going to show how to paint more showing & less talk

  • LMAO

  • This guy is great. He looks at his work and tells you he had a few problems but in general it's all good. He also explains how he will get the trash out, which is cool. I love it when people are honest about their work and he did a fine job. Heck he didn't have a nice clean sealed off booth and it turned out pretty nice anyway. Good job.

  • look at new car's they come out with orange peel farkkkkkkkkkkkkkk give the guy a brake

  • that's the good thing about 2pak its a glorafide name for enamel with hardener its hard as and you can be a spray painters asshole and still do a grate job bad bit to harden it properly you need a heat chamber so it will take nilly for ever to dry and be hard enough to polish good job though

  • you dont know shit dumb ass! 2pak is not just enamel with hardener you half wit and it requires more skill to apply than any other shit like acrylic and enamel. oh, it dries naturally overnight too, heated booths just speed it up. next time keep your uneducated dip shit opinions to yourself!

  • Damn bugs

  • u can put tp in that water filter almost everyone in the us does it

  • kint festetted az utcán jóvan, biztos széplesz

  • lol, your respray equipment is worth more than car.

  • what !!you got bugs bugs in Australia :O i thought they all were in Canada!!!

  • hi pal whats orange peel ?

    thanx

  • Orange Peel is where the paint takes on the appearance of the skin of an orange. Its normally when paint has been applied too heavy. It can be rubbed down and buffed out.

  • yua gotta add thinner to eliminate orange peel

  • Most urethane paints allow up to 10-20% thinner to be added. Even so, the most skilled sprayers will usually always have a degree of orange peel in the finish. If you look at ANY modern OEM paint finish it has orange peel. It's because the hardeners in the paint don't allow it to smooth out enough prior to drying.

Trying a slower hardener will decrease orange peel to be very minimal if sprayed well, however this increases chances of defects due to dust etc. and takes longer to dry.

  • @ paulspalace: Orange peel is formed when paint is applied too lightly/overspray has landed after coating. The goal is to get enough paint on the surface to allow the paint to flatten and smooth out before it dries, without causing runs.

You're correct it can be rubbed down and buffed out, myself having painted several cars/parts. Sanding/Removing the gloss of gun finish is something you'll almost always regret when using urethane paints. Unless the spray pattern is ordinary, of course.

  • dude

ive just got the same brand paint from a shop in malaga.

    nice vid with tips

  • how much did the paint cost ? , im in perth and im looking to paint my car. how many lt do u think for a similar size car as in the video ?

  • well i did a motor cycle and i used one liter

cost about 157 for clear /thinners/ primer

  • why didn;t you do it inside the garage with the door open for ventilation but avoid bugs and wind?

  • cos dat car aint worth the effort

  • how much gallons is that air compressor

  • wow, you have issues lol. leave the guy alone he's done a good job

  • woooo, an aussie lol.

    good work man.

  • whats orange peel?

  • its a term or slang for the texture of the paint when it goes rough

  • Orange peel is when the paint has a texture resembles the bumpy surface of the skin of an orange.

  • when the paint bubbles and looks like the top of an orange peel just imagine that texture and how it would look on a smooth surface.

  • Good job!

  • Nice job. Don't you listen to these nit-wits.

  • Top job for just doing it in the front yard. Biggest problem if I did this is in direct sun the panels would get too hot making it easier to get runs. Plus flash off time might be a bit too quick. Neighbours kids might drop dead but that wouldn't be my problem unless they found out about the isocyanates. Surprised how well this turned out. Good work.

  • Bloody good job mate.
