  • I'd love to see a video for this. Not that it needs one, but I'd still love to see it.

  • Panhandling apparently a crime

  • Imagine if you was dying, and nobody helped you/ if nobody listened you might talk to yourself too!

  • Homeboy Sandman is ill as fuckkk. Fuck the haters.

  • very insightful, listen!

  • Where can I find the lyrics to the songs on The Good Sun

  • A real soul clap of the highest order> Love it!!!

  • sick tune, @johnsonphil85, if you don't like him then don't listen to him.

  • how is nobody bitching about how he robbed the name of hiis songg from living legends? btw gingerbread man just shredded this cat.haha.what a sucker.

  • @johnsonphil85 Angels with dirty faces is an old movie

  • @johnsonphil85

Pretty sure if James Cagney were still alive he'd probably bitch about anybody using his movie as a song title...

regardless, this is a dope track, great concept and dope beat by J57...Sandman covers all bases here: the token straphanger who winces at the sight of a homeless person, the actual homeless person and finally a person who sympathizes with the homeless (which i'd assume would be Sandman himself)...

  • @toneriggz agreed..and in addition to that if ANYONE were to be bitchin, it'd probably be all the Eric Clapton/CREAM fans bitching about how he sample the first 20 seconds from "White Room" lol

  • Great song with a powerful message

  • Funny how your father homeboy sandman, is a lawyer and he fix my case, peace and love.

  • This is alright...tight breaks interesting hook..distinct lack of cheesy shite...yea feeling it...

  • Instant Classic! no music video for this?? this was easily the best song on the album!

  • Saw this boss on MTV Made.....he pretty good though

  • Some crack head slipped up and disliked

  • this song is about homeless (angels with dirty faces), i heard him talk about it in an interview. Sandman may be difficult to understand because of his quick, somewhat mumbled delivery, but if you really take the time to listen he always has a message and its usually unique or at least something talked about before being discussed in a fresh way. He's a really great lyricist too, sandman's dope!, just gotta listen...

  • @zotro54321 forgot to say that this was a response to @sensaybooo the post right below me haha

  • Can you say intro is a "Cream" Rip off! In the white room! Check it

  • @itsMrCakes2u

    It's called sampling bro..........

  • you do know that they call the Heroin Dealers "Mr. Sandman" or "the Sandman" as referring to the effects of that drug...

  • One of the best albums of 2010 no doubt.

  • WOW i thought eminem was good...

  • Hes a monster

  • Best album of 2010, no doubt. I think only Atmosphere can top him... if they decide to release an album this year, that is

  • this is pretty dope i just saw your article in the new xxl you pretty good homie we need real rap like this not about guns drugs money jewelry and women.

  • this is pretty dope i just saw your article in the new xxl you pretty good.

  • Incredible lyrics. Dope beat. Gonna check for more HBS for sure

  • Back on the topic at hand:

Homeboy Sandman's lyrics/subjectmatter on this track is phenomenal and J57 of the Brown Bag All Stars made a memorable/amazing beat.

Props to Homeboy Sandman and J57

  • i tried to give him a second chance by listening to another track. he dissapointed me once again, and i vented my frustration.

  • @nemesis700

tell me some artists worthy of you ear, please

  • @nemesis700 Kill your self and then kill your moms

  • beautiful i wish we can bottle this song and pour it all over everything. We can call it "soul sauce"

  • killa track

  • Queens! It seems the world ain't ready for his unique super lyrical style with crazy rhymes and vocabulary. He's definitely ill. Hip Hop needs more original artists like Homeboy Sandman.

  • This track is fire. I just wish it was mixed better. The bass drowns out the lyrics.

  • hes so sick, but if he came more precise, I mean the way he pronounces could be a lot better, his lyrics are real innovative, kinda like nas a lil bit, I hope his shit catches on, cuz it might open some eyes as to what the culture REALLY IS and should be, he has a very unique outlook that is very positive and that rare in NY mcs right now, watch he'll blow up like bob did

  • imagine u was dyin nobody helped u if aint nobody listen u might talk to yourself too

  • my favorite ny emcee and favorite ny producer

  • Yo, that's our boy...Yo, Sandman, you speak with such honor and grace on this track. Big ups to my man J57 on the beat...peace homies...next time we see each other it's a cookout!
