this song is about homeless (angels with dirty faces), i heard him talk about it in an interview. Sandman may be difficult to understand because of his quick, somewhat mumbled delivery, but if you really take the time to listen he always has a message and its usually unique or at least something talked about before being discussed in a fresh way. He's a really great lyricist too, sandman's dope!, just gotta listen...
