Hi! I am about to make a clay musicvideo in stop motion. Im gonna make small caracters in like 7-8 cm height. I wonder if you recommend that i use some kind of skeleton that will form the characters. Like the one you have? Or shall i jud do the characters of genuin clay?

@WarPig15 That's actully how I make all my films. You go on file and click Import individual files (BMP,JPG,TGA,TIF). Or if you want to use the program while animating, get a different version of the program. Check out their website and see witch version you need.

I just bought the program am I am trying to make a new movie. My problem is that when I look back at all my photos, almost all of them are a different shade. One is lighter or darker than the next. This makes the animations very hard to watch because it is very distracting. I had all the capture settings to manual. Im not sure what is wrong.

@WienShinoda, you don't want to touch the camera, even if it's on a steady tripod, because that will make the camera jiggle, and mess up the animation. That's why the software does the capture for you. Also, in many cases you're not using a still camera for animation -- you can use a DV camcorder, or a USB webcam, and these may not have any such thing as a "capture single frame" setting or button. So, you want your software to work this way.

hmm my camera runs out of battery very quickly when it is plugged into stopmotionpro so i did it without stopmotion pro and chose the folder i wanted to use(had jpgs in )and then selected the type of files i was using as i said earlier they were all jpgs then when i click apply and ok it did nothing! i thought probably takes some time to import so i waited for atleast an hour and it didn't do anything. someone help plz

I think I understand you question

I had this problem to, All you need to do is take the pics with a camcorder or digital camera. then hook your camera up to the computer and put all of the pictures in the same file. now you need to open up stopmotion pro, and go to File>Import>Folder. It may be a little diffrent then that but the cosept is the same!

It's likely because you camera is out of focus, poor quality or the lens is dirty.

If it's blurry I don't think it's due to a fault of the program; it takes the picture directly from the camera.

Go to file then import. when you take pictures on your camera set the settings to low or on my camera its for viewing only on the pc. If you camera can't do that, make the images alot smaller from your computer.

SMP is made for DV Cameras, Webcameras,SLR and EOS digital cameras with a consumer camera it is hard to get a live feed, but you can take the pictures and then click file then click import images to get your frames,
