As one who has been to both houses (UC & Chicago Stadium), I can say that a Hawks game is about as loud as it gets. I've seen some of the loudest bands in the world and this can easily come close. There's NOTHING like UC, from the anthem to the end of the game.

I remember this game. I thought it was over. With little time left, I figured the Hawks luck of stopping the Nucks shots would end and we would go down 3-1. That's when I saw Havlat skate across and take the shot. I don't ever recall being that loud. Truly amazing game.

i wish the UC was at least half this loud for Bulls games... the UC fans did well when we played the celtics in the playoffs, but typically Bulls fans are at their loudest when Big Macs are involved... kinda makes me sad as a die-hard Bulls fans

@JohnnyStorm2007 No doubt about it......the old Stadium just would make your ears hurt when you left it got so loud. But the UC can get pretty loud for stuff like this. Let's hope we hear more of this for another few months.

In case many of you have forgotten, the Chicago Stadium wasn't called THE MADHOUSE ON MADISON STREET for nothing.

They once registered the crowd noise at 128 DC. That's louder the a 747 airplane (124 DC).
