But if that does happen, the UN can step in and break up the violence, or severely restrict China with an embargo. Unlike Russia, Chinese economy is heavily dependent on trade, the embargo would force them to stop.

I care about the 80 human beings who died on March 16th 2008 following protests, and the many others throughout the protests. There will be ethnic genocide against any non-Tibetan ethnic groups and Tibetans who do not support Dalai. Just like how Georgian amry did on Russian ethenic in Georgia. Of course by then Chinese troops may react in the similar way as Russian troops.

Of course, you were able to do anything you wished back then under colonial rule, but the only thing you couldn't have done was government your own affairs. Chinese had to answer to Brits on everything. Say what you please, but HK was stolen from China under unfair treaties after Opium War, it's China's pride and right to hold claim to it. If you feel things are ruined, please feel free to depart yourself move to UK or Canada. HK is already over populated. Thank you very much. ^^

Don't get me wrong. I'm happy and proud that the Olympics are being held in the great land of China. But it's sad to see that so many Hong Kongers seem to be confusing "China" and "The People's Republic of China". If I were standing there in the crowd, I would be holding a sign that says "中國加油", not the flag of communist PRC.

Stop pretending to be nice. You make no sense. Hong Kong would still be a British colony if it weren't for the PRC. You may self indulge yourself with whatever, but before '97 Chinese in HK were treated as second class citizens. It's nearly impossible to see Chinese holding key positions in HK government affairs and no meaningful voice in HK's financial sectors.

That's likely correct, but u will not get arrested. At work, there are work ethics, namely forbidding anti-social behavior disruptive of the work environment, such as racial or religiously discriminatory comments, laws which are in place to prevent social discrimination at work. And even so, you can chase your legal battle all the way up to the supreme court if you wish to. Many have in the past.
In the streets however, you are absolutely free to say whatever u want, insulting or not.

I grew up in Hong Kong and I love Hong Kong, so it's a shame to see that so many Hong Kongers have taken for granted the freedom of religion and other freedoms that they enjoy, as evident by their opposition to this pro-democracy demonstration. If they don't like democracy, then they shouldn't be living in Hong Kong. They're wasting valuable space.
