  • If they needed him to do a voice over....would they just use microsoft sam?

  • Does this mean that string theory is wrong? no BREINS?

  • That was the most pathetic theory I have ever herd, God had no time to create the universe? ROFLMAO

God is God and he's outside the universe..

  • @Atari8man2011

So you're going to say that theres an all mighty, benevolent being controlling everyone's actions, who is also in another dimension and doesn't operate in time?... You're as stupid as the christians lol.

  • @xmobeus You are a real dumbass and need to reread my post, it's clear that Steven Hawkings is an atheist and knows nothing about God and the Bible. God is not bound by the laws of nature. I am not going to waste my time with you either. Dont put words in my mouth and just read my lips. A brain is a terrible thing to waste, now go away.

  • @Atari8man2011

hmmm I seem to know what's going on here... You're getting angry because your delusional thinking is being questioned. You're for sure saying that god is outside of this universe and not bound by the laws of nature... You're not refuting a claim, just coming up with excuses for god's existence. Where is the proof that he is not bound by the laws of nature or outside of the universe? If he's not in our universe, like you said, he doesn't exist in our universe... right?

  • @xmobeus You need to stop putting words in my mouth cause doing that makes me angry. There are problem with this video, Steve Hawking is not as smart as you may think, in the Video he say's that God controls everything and everyone .. nowhere in the Bible dose God say that. But he dose give us free will to choose. I don't need to make excuses for God, don't quote me either .. read the Bible then make your choice.

  • @Atari8man2011

I've read alot of the bible and to me, it's a fictional story. There are alot of evidence that it is a fictional story, for example noah's arc and the stories of jesus defying the laws of nature. It's an old outdated book and people need to realize that it has nothing truthful in it.

  • @Atari8man2011

&&my post wasn't to offfend you... it was to make you see how ridiculous it is to think that there is a god with all of those qualities.

  • The Big Bang Theory is from a Catholic Priest.

  • It make no sense.....

    From min 31:21 -31:37

The narrator is saying that the universe pop out to existence from nothing with out violating the laws of nature... How can it violate the laws of nature if the universe did not existed?

  • @YoEfrain Just like matter can pop into existence without violating the laws of nature

  • @Floortjahh, My opinion is - if before the universe was nothing, NO LAWS of NATURE were present, it just make no sense the narrator statement, guessing is no science!

  • @YoEfrain Oh but they're not guesses. Theoretical physists don't just come up with ideas and decide to go with the ones they like best. They have to prove them mathematically. And there is no scientific consensus on the origins of the universe(s) at all yet. But that doesn't mean we can't find out and should just assume god did it.

    It's very interesting IMO...

I particulary love listening to Michio Kaku. He makes complicated and boring physics sound like so much fun!

    watch?v=kYAdwS5MFjQ

  • @YoEfrain here's another one of my favorites

    watch?NR=1&feature=endscreen&v=e4nnpg4N35o

  • @YoEfrain oh and another one!

    watch?v=fW6JFKgbAF4

  • @Floortjahh, I have seen a few videos from this guy, his theories - Dark Matter, M string and multi-universes, time machines and double time universe etc. sound very interesting "but only that".

When a scientific create in a lab a micro big ban and from this micro big ban a mini universe.... Still the question will be, from where and what kind of matter did he use for the big ban and the mini universe to come to be?..

  • @Floortjahh, I love science, but science can not go outside time, science can only experiment on matter and nothing more----

I hope you understand my point of view...

  • @YoEfrain Yeah I understand and I agree it can be kind of dodgy. However theoretical physics does have practical use. Our GPSses wouldn't work without Einstein's theory of General Relativity. It's purely theoretical, thought up by a mathematician.

  • @YoEfrain I don't know if they'll ever find a theory of everything or if it's even possible. But what I'm afraid that the whole creationist/religious movement puts a stop to scientific progress, bc they think they allready have the answer.

That's my biggest concern. It happened before...

  • @Floortjahh, (you said) you are afraid of the whole creationist/religious movement put stop to scientific progress-------

Most evangelical sects, are mostly against the evolution theory and against some scientific blank statements ... like Stephen Hawking, when he said that that there is no God involved in the creation of the universe. He shouldn't make this blank statements, What proves is - that He does not believe in God, but nothing more...

  • It's a shame he didn't elaborate on String and Loop Quantum Gravity theory. Does anyone know what his position is on these? What about the faster than light neutrinos?

  • @Floortjahh start reading about quantum theories and you will soon discover that in our dimension-the macroscopic one theese things aren`t possible nor observable. Knowing also that mesurements are relatively precise and that even the best of mesurement tools do fail a bit somethimes, I think, and fermly belive that this was a mistake. From what I`ve heard they(from CERN) couldn`t do it once more.So think big,but on real subjects...science fiction is a dead way for a smart man/woman.

  • So if I take nothing make something if added creates zero but apart creates +2 then we have nothing right there at all times? Lolfail

  • I cant belive science has to actually take these delutioned mothefuckers seriously.

  • @SuperUSmilitary Woah do you not know who this delutioned mothefucker is?! I can't belive it! It's Steven Hawking, one of the greatest minds on the face of the planet! Look him up...

  • @lilrherhe321 There's nothing in the laws of physics that say that things couldn't just appear, but the chances of that happening are very slim. Entropy almost always increases.

  • @sk8shred At the beginning of the universe (the big bang) all of the energy that there is now and ever will be (in our universe because there could be others) was created. So the energy released caused the universe to expand.

  • well my minds blown

  • And if you really think about it, plants and animals just don't appear, someone had to make them....seeds don't just appear and grow a peach tree. Explain that:)

  • Saint Stephen strikes again fantastic video, what a great mind the man is an inigma

  • @sadtranz Your spelling is an enigma.

  • If god dont exist then i dont wanna die ha, a forever of nothing ? just cant get my mind around that people.

  • @noelmurf08 No one wants to die ( except for those whom does ... ) When you die there is not an forever of nothing, you just die, it will be just like going to sleep.

  • The Lord Jesus Christ put the God in Goddard Space Flight Center.

  • Straight up beautiful

  • Mind blowing..

  • wow that's a lot arguing

  • Everyone has their beliefs the one of science, religion, & nothing, they will say God made us or the big bang made us. at the end of the goose chase its always going to be nothing. The human as we call ourselves is poor, to us we have what we call a mind but in essence it's a factory of randomness and so everything we think or say is worthless we are nothing. the truth is we don't know anything, our idea of something called time is an illusion we are the constant of uncertainty and illusion.

  • Reality is what you make of it. In my reality I choose to believe in God therefore God does exist.

  • @Chris84usa That is untrue. Reality is "the state of things as they actually exist, rather than as they may appear or might be imagined."

  • I am convinced with all this but just want to ask a doubt: how can you judge the existence of God depending on the idea of inserting a clock into a black-hole. The video shows a machine stops working if you place it in a black-hole. The clock is a machine we created to estimate the time. Its not the natural element like light or may be its just an energy by which the clock was running before enter into the black-hole. Is clock is the true definition of time or it is just a machine?

  • @Clockwise318 Well, a clock is just a machine that measures time, "time" as hawking referredd to it is the continuous process of things that happen. for example i'm typing this, but i can't go back to the time when i was about to type this.

Hawking is talking about singularity of a black hole and time slows down in a black hole and in the point of singularity ( core ) time completely stops.

  • @Clockwise318 The big bang also got a singularity, the core is so infinitesimally dense/small that time itself is not able to continue it's process. So there was no time before the big bang, so there was totally nothing before the big bang, there was no cause. It seems strange but it's logical to me.

Another question i don't know an answer for could you help me out perhaps, im just a 16 year old boy :P "What caused the universe to expand at the start of the big bang

  • @sk8shred There is no cause, just the effect of nothing.

  • Talking about 39:00 if "no time" is the solution while there was nothing before big bang, what has cause the "no time"-effect? Since no time is caused by big amount of mass there must have been some kind of mass to make time stop before the big bang occoured. So what caused the mass to be compressed that way?

  • Yes, there is God. God's name is called 'Nature'

  • - explaining the existence of life and universe through science, logic, and education, we no longer need the Christian god. But really, this is only a threat to our religious leaders and the Pope and whatnot because that's a threat to their power in the world. No, this is about these Christfags who don't want to accept that they're not going to be rewarded with an afterlife when they die. After all, that's all religion is: A belief that spoiled adults should be rewarded for living. :)

  • @attirantmonsmusic is big and bad you try to make your argument seem, you are the minority, not Christians, "religion" or real Christianity has nothing to do with us wanting, no of us deserve to live, its about salvation. you say there is no proof, that is an incredibly ignorant statement some of our greatest scientists were creationists, i'm not mad at you, but name calling seems a bit childish doesn't it? I hope you find the truth because my heart is clear

  • @Benwithsean Did you just imply that the "majority" will always be right over the minority? Let's take a look at what the "majority" has supported in history: Slavery; segregation; war; the Holocaust; the Crusades; anti-equality for women, blacks, and now gays. Are you telling me that you support all of that? And like I give a flying fuck if some idiot is "mad at" me because I DARED to speak some common fucking sense about something that should be obvious but just isn't.

  • @Benwithsean And of course I'm the minority. Intelligence has always been a rarity in its own because stupid people tend to breed the most.

  • @attirantmonsmusic you put the words out of my mouth, right on attirantmonsmusic!

  • @attirantmonsmusic Know one could possibly know what's going to happen to them until they actually die. The argument of afterlife is pointless. I'm a christian and I am not spoiled nor do I think we deserve to be rewarded for anything at all because I'm a sinner just like everyone else. You said " christfags" which doesn't make any sense at all . I think you should find the real meaning of the insults you say. You clearly did not think that through. Christianity is not religion, it's truth. :)

  • @lilrherhe321 You realize how stupid you sound right? Oh, and also, plants and animals came from protons becoming atoms, then molecules and then compounds and bacteria, then into single celled organisms and so on. Believing what your told through Christianity and not even understanding how the universe works means you shouldn't be bashing people who actually understand the way it all works, in a PROVEN way. Science has been proven, Christians cant prove god.

  • @lilrherhe321 If the "argument of afterlife is pointless" then please explain to me why you Christfags enjoy trying to shove it down EVERYONE'S throat? The door swings both ways, little girl: We either both respect the other's personal beliefs, are we can both speak our opinions about how the other is wrong. And you claiming that your RELIGION is "the truth" after you just told me I can't ever know what will happen until I die makes you one hell of a fucking hypocrite.

  • More so, Christfags are also too stupid to realize that their god was created for a single reason, just like any other god: To give an explanation to something that, at the time, humans were incapable of explaining due to the lack of knowledge or technology. The Christian god is no more real than the wolf god that the vikings believed was eating the sun during a solar eclipse. The Christian god was meant to explain the existence of life and the universe, and now that we are capable of -

  • @attirantmonsmusic 'ey dude ! got a question. How did christ made all the miracles, treatin' the blind dude, transformin' watter in freakin wine, commin back to life happens today too so this is not included in my question, next would be how did christ rised at the sky "heavens" with flyin just like that.. ? those things keep fuckin with my brain since I know myself existing... maybe you would know that... cos the church dude just fucked up my brain harder with his explanins.

  • @crazyrocker321 I'm sorry, but I speak proper English. Please, try again. :|

  • Lol, too bad Christfags are actually too stupid to grasp something as astonishingly educated and intelligent as the science of time and space, as well as the concept of anti-matter. The fact that people are STILL trying to pull explanations out of their asses in an attempt rebut this video on the existence of their god rather than accept the sad truth that they've been wasting their time and lives on something that DOES NOT and HAS NOT existed . . . is only proof of this.

  • @attirantmonsmusic answer this then if your so clued up with how the world/universe where did matter come from to make all this happen.i do not diprove in nature or science

god gave man the ability to understand science and nature the only fag here is you thinking you know everything and their is no god tell you what do live by the rules then which every country does as they all come from the bible dont have birthdays or christmas partys as they are from the bible

  • @dragonballfist now i can't answer where all this matter came from but the idea that all countries and their laws came from the bible. well laws were around before the bible, do some research my friend and same with birthday's n christmas, christmas has nothing to do with the bible, it existed way before and INFACT christians were originally against the whole idea of christmas but they figured later on that if you can't beat them join them so they christianized the whole concept..

  • @dragonballfist ohh n the stupid santa claus BS they came up with also changed around the 30s when coca cola decided red and white was used as a marketing campaign... bible is about as real as harry potter or twilight

  • @dragonballfist First off, speak proper English before challenging someone on basis of intelligence and education. Second: God doesn't exist, you simple-minded cretin, if you can't understand the very easy example the video gave you: The science of Quantum Mechanics, where protons and other particles can simply POP into existence, disappear, and POP into existence somewhere else. The universe is just like any circle of life - the black holes are eating everything up to where we -

  • @dragonballfist - will be reverted back to the beginning stages of being nothing but hydrogen and other particles, before there will be another explosion of an appropriate distribution of matter and anti-matter.

God doesn't exist, you fucking moron. Only the weak and simple-minded believe in such bullshit. You don't need to be a Stephen Hawking to make up fairy tales that only overgrown children will believe as fact.

  • @attirantmonsmusic is that so well just for the record before i found god i was mma fighter for 26 years got into debt collecting aswell as other things god changed my life for the better you cant even see whats in front of you,ive seen this vid at the end of the day god made the big bang happenand has given use the understanding of it. and here you seat bad mouthing ppl on a keypad did i once say a your stupid for thinging you are wrong

  • @dragonballfist Maybe God can teach you some grammar.

  • @bondjames634 If fucking only.

  • @bondjames634 mybe he can and get me a new keypad as this one tends not to spell when words out maybe i should look at it before i send

  • @dragonballfist I love how you imply that your god exists because you happen to SAY he does, and you're somehow trying to convince of such because of ... what? Your life experiences? How in the HELL do you figure your life has any relevancy in this conversation? Do you have your god's calling number? Do you have undeniable proof that he exists? Or are you seriously going to sit there and expect me to just take your WORD for it? :| Don't waste my time, you grammar-retarded moron.

  • @attirantmonsmusic proof of god is all around you your to stupid to see it,i dont need my life experince to prove their is a god, jesus is even recorded in history yet people seem to over look it.i cant help it if im tpying to fast for my keypad to keep up.when your ready to talk in a grown up way and stop spitting out your dummy go find me the prove he doesnt this video doesnt diprove in god

  • @dragonballfist Seriously? That's all you have to say? "Proof of God is everywhere"? Then I guess Santa, the Easter Bunny, and the Boogieman exist because I happen to believe it, and if I believe it, then it must be fact, right? You're such a joke. And to be fair, Jesus has also been speculated to be a fucking schizophrenic. You can't claim this video doesn't disprove your god because there's "proof" if you, yourself, can't prove to me that he does exist. You can't demand --

  • @dragonballfist -- "proof" from someone if you can't give the proof that THEY demand from YOU, and saying "TEH PROOF IZ EVERWEAR" is not proof, you moron. If that's the case, then this video proves your god doesn't exist because the video exists and because it says so. See how stupid your logic is, cretin?

  • [21:33] And He is the One who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon; each floating in its own orbit.

  • [21:30] Do the unbelievers not realize that the heaven and the earth used to be one solid mass that we exploded into existence? And from water we made all living things. Would they believe?

  • "I will pray for you." LOL no.

  • When is someone gonna issue this guy his Dunce cap.

In the Multiverse there is a world where he is flying through space with his chair gazing up at a giant square sun with donkeys on it. Thats where multiverse takes you.

The atheist mind is one of complete stupidity and denial. Nothing will change the fact that you will branded the fools of the universe as you deeper and deeper into your own depravity.

  • @Rizzy55

In other words "I have no valuable input, the answers I was given make me feel good. This documentary makes me feel unhappy, anyone who makes me unhappy is bad bad bad"

You are a child, and nothing more.

  • According to Steve's final conclusion, God is bound by time. That precludes the possibility that God JUST MIGHT be powerful enough to create time itself. Just food for thought.

  • @DTHRocket

No, to DO anything at all, requires time. God is a 3 letter word, and whatever this is, exists only in your mind. There is nothing outside of your mind, that verifies whatever is inside it. This 3 letter word, has a meaning which the rest of us define as "fantasy".

The evidence for all gods, is exactly the same as evidence for all fairies. None.

  • @superhamzah85

    ?

I'm just saying that God is probably bigger than time, that's all. Exists outside of it. If something never had a beginning, that's a pretty good clue right there that it isn't bound by time.

  • Putting aside the inevitable religious debates a video like this will always prompt, I would be very grateful if someone could tell me who the narrator is. His voice is so familiar but I just can't seem to place it .___.

  • jaaaaa go chicomore

  • @IWalkOnAirPro Computers run on math not science?! math is the language in which physics communicates, all physics theories are based on mathematical models of nature developed through observation and numerous experimentation. Now computers use mathematical logic to be programmed, but these mathematical logic works through not abstract devices called microprocessors which exist thanks to solid

  • @jadenquenza Well 2 hands working can accomplish more than a 1000 in prayer. All you doing is talking to yourself, which is borderline psychotic. So while you pretend to talk to your imaginary friend, I'll hope you get mentally better and wake up to reality. I mean that in the best way possible, not as an insult ;)

  • @jadenquenza Also, no perfect being would create. If I was perfect I would know the time, but only an imperfect being creates a watch to tell time. If I was perfect I wouldn't freeze, but because I'm imperfect, design and creation are needed for shelter and clothing. If I was perfect, I could send to this message telepathically, but I'm not so a monitor, computer, internet ect. need to be designed. Designing is a tool to improve imperfections, so if God was perfect, he would not design. Simple.

  • @theBartone9119 God didn't need to design he wanted to design. Simple. :)

  • @jadenquenza Want implies that he desires something he doesn't already have, this makes him imperfect because if he was perfect, he would already be satisfied with his perfection, meaning he could not want anything. If he wants that means he is imperfect, if he is imperfect, he cannot be God, meaning God does not exist. Even more simple.

  • Lets say I took a bag of watch parts and put them into a bag and shook that bag for 13.75 billion years. Who here thinks I could reach into that bag and pull out a watch that is on time, correctly assembled, and ticking? An intelligence design implies an intelligence creator.

  • @jadenquenza The notion of an afterlife is moronic as well, I mean does an MP3 player still play music after the battery in it completely dies? No, so why would the "music" of life still continue after your brain completely dies? Being scared of death, ignorance, fear, and gullibility are why people believe in this imaginary being.

  • @theBartone9119 It's called a soul. Arguing on this matter is pointless. I will never be able to convince you that there is a God. I can just plant the seed and wait for it to grow. I will be praying for you and I mean that in the best way possible not as an insult.

  • @jadenquenza I'd like to reiterate myself; do you know ANYTHING about natural selection, jaden?

  • @RorakKuroda.... it seems like she does not know a thing about natural selection or the whole subject at all

  • @karenzm123 Yeah, so it appears. I'll break it down as concisely as I can:

Natural selection does not simply apply to life. It applies to all things. The hardest rocks at the bottom of a river with remain while the softest ones will degrade away. If something gains the ability to reproduce, then it simply speeds up this process. Scientists have already created DNA and RNA using electricity and primordial solutions, so it's perfectly plausible, if not almost certain that this is how life began.

  • Comment removed

  • @jadenquenza Chance is all around us, are hurricanes planned or do they happen when the conditions are just right by chances? Are black holes planned, or is there a 1 and a million shot that gravity will cause a black hole by chances? Are stars planed, or is it chance that the elements come together in just the right way to form stars? Everything in the universe is a dice roll, life on earth is a 7, and all the other baron planets are simply snake eyes. Life is a bi-product of a random universe.

  • @jadenquenza The only need for a plan is for someone flawed and far from perfect, a plan is a tool used by biological entities to make an imperfect situation improved, like how to plan for a cold winter, or plan for a drought, no perfect being would create, design, or have a plan.

  • I just want to let people know that the Big Bang Theory is well… a theory, right? and a theory is just something that could be and is not necessarily true, and no matter how complete the explanation of any scientists as Hawking or Einstein, there will never be an answer to absolutely everything.

  • One problem: He says that protons can just appear, disappear, and then reappear again at random. But the universe at the beginning wasn't a proton, although it was smaller than one, so I'm wondering what proof is there that this energy can behave in the same way as a proton? Or is there any?

  • with that said, physics and other sciences don´'t claim to have the ultimate truth, sciences are building and imrpoving our undersatnding of nature.

  • @chicomore Thank you for being a logical voice in a sea of unbridled idiocy. This is true, human science does not yet have the answers. It is built upon logic and observation. Religion makes out to understand everything, which in my eyes, is simply pretentious. It's simply fear manifesting itself in ignorance, and it has happened for centuries; just as Galileo was imprisoned for his ideas. Luckily, we live in an age that is more accepting and curious.

  • Physics book getting proven wrong!?!? are you kidding me, physics and science have made possible the modern way of life, if anything all the technological advances (including the youtube platform and the very real computer that's standing infront of you) prove that something about the theories must be right. Now i read in some of the comments that the bible can't be proven wrong, oh it can in numerous ocassions. Facts as the life of the universe according to the bible are just wrong...

  • @chicomore

Nobody was there when the universe was first made so the Bible can not be proven right, nor can it be proven wrong.

Computer's run on Math not science.

Physics of late (year 2011) that have been proven wrong = Einstein's Relativity Theory: the speed of light is the fastest. Proven: sub-atomic particles (called neutrinos) travel faster than the speed of light.

  • @IWalkOnAirPro There is quite a bit of evidence to suggest that the bible has been re-written multiple times. There's also evidence that points to its initial authors.

Math and Science and inseparable; you're stupid if you think otherwise. That's why Programming classes are called Computer Science. All of science is proven with mathematical formulas, especially theoretical physics, which is pure conceptual ideas and math.

  • @IWalkOnAirPro Another note:

There are dozens of theories already that adapt the new discovery of these faster-than-light neutrinos so that they do not infringe upon General Relativity. There are also many other theories that remain unbroken by this discovery. Super String Theory, Holographic Universe Theory, branches of Quantum mechanics, etc.

  • @chicomore I will pray for you. I am not just saying that to be rude I truly mean it.

  • @jadenquenza Please don't and i'm not trying to be rude either. Better use your prayers for yourself so you can enjoy their benefits. And i'm quite sure praying has benefits but because of a biochemical reason rather than a spiritual or trascendental reason.

  • Where is the proof that God existed, then?

  • But why all this happened? What was the impulse that started Big Bang? Was black hole bored? I believe that there is a purpose of existence of all. This purpose and intelligence is God.

  • I think believing that there isn't a God is the easy way out. If there isn't a God then you never have to answer to a higher being. You never have to obey the rules set in place by God. You don't have to feel bad about doing things that are wrong.

  • @jadenquenza actually the ones who dont believe are good purely due to them being good and not being good because god told them. its alot harder to be good as an atheist since we cannot just ask for forgiveness for a crime from god, we have to live with it for our entire lives it won't ever go away. if you want evidence just google the top donators to charity most or all are atheists.

  • @6Baltej6 Why do they need to worry about their wrongs? When they die, they just die. They won't be judged after death because God doesn't exist for them. They shouldn't be worried about their guilt.

  • @jadenquenza because atheists have real morals

  • @6Baltej6 Morals imply that there is a right and wrong. Right and wrongs imply that there is a higher being that you must answer to.

  • @jadenquenza Morality is what the individual makes of it. Every person has his or her own moral code that they follow. There is no need for a god to tell them what is right or wrong, the individual can simply say to theirself, for example; "Would it be wrong of me to hurt another human being?". The answer, wether you're Religious or not, would in the very most cases still be "Yes". The need for a god to set our moral code is therefore non essential.

  • @jadenquenza morals are based off perspective of the individual since many dont share the exact same morals as you or i do. and nothing is right or wrong its just personal opinion by the individual. u cant justify right and wrong theres no value to it.

  • The Bible is the oldest, well-kept book in the history of the Earth. There has never been a better book ever written in the history of the world. It never contradicts itself ever. That is one reason why I believe in the Bible.

  • @jadenquenza My physics books never contradict themselves ever...

  • @PrayerForAnAC130 Your physics books have recently been proven wrong. According to the Washington Post, Scientists have recently discovered particles that move faster than the speed of light. Physic books state that is impossible. I don't believe there has been any solid proof to disprove any part of the Bible.

  • @jadenquenza Well that's the point of science - to try and find something that is true, and scrutinize everything. It was scientists that conducted the experiment, and they're not sweeping it under the carpet in denial but publishing it. Physics books are constantly being rewritten anyway. As far as the Bible is concerned you have every right to believe in it but just because it can't be proven wrong, it doesn't mean it's proven fact.

  • @SmoothTrance But it does make it more believable than the physic books that keep getting proven wrong.

  • @jadenquenza

Oh lord, not those blasted neutrinos again ¬_¬

Firstly, it's not certain that they were actually going that fast, hence the rigorous double checking that's been going on. Secondly, if they are indeed exceeding light speed, there's a huge selection of explanations as to how it's possible. Explanations which build on top of, not disprove, existing ideas. We just need to figure out which one is right.

This news does not make science wrong and religion right. To think so is moronic.

  • Also, you see no solid proof to disprove *any* part of the bible? Seriously? Not even a single verse? That is an awfully bold statement, to say that it is entirely without flaws.

I myself can't even get through the first chapter without finding them, what with the bible saying that night and day existed before the sun did. Genesis sure is a crazy book. It's almost reads like someone made it up.

  • @Qw3rtypop It's amazing how the human mind can find flaws in everything it doesn't like.

  • @jadenquenza

    For instance, logic.

  • @Qw3rtypop I have to applaud you on your amazing amount of faith. More faith than I will ever have. To except the idea that by chance a universe perfectly in time has come about by chance is amazing!

  • @jadenquenza How foolish of you..That analogy is stupid because a watch is clearly designed, by biological intelligence. Saying you know of a complex intelligence that wasn't produced by a brain, is like saying you know of a wooden char that didn't come from a tree, your claim is outrages and requires enormous amounts of faith. Plus one pair of hands working can accomplish more than 1000 in prayer. All you are doing is talking to yourself when you pray, which is borderline Psychotic

  • @jadenquenza

In response to that grammatical train wreck of a comment, I would have to say that what I have is not faith. Belief is not faith, and is certainly not the same as the blind faith that you follow.

It honestly saddens me to see how widely creationists such as yourself are spread throughout your country, to the point where it permeates your society. It's such a shame to see how far a nation could fall from its founding principles.

  • Speaking from a radical christian turned atheist's point of view... the bible does say that god doesnt operate in time, just a thought.

  • @BenIsHybrid

May I ask, what prompted your turn from theism? I've only ever had an atheistic perspective, so I'm genuinely curious as to what changed your mind. It seems to be such a rare occurrence...

  • @Qw3rtypop just examining my situation and realizing i was who i was based on geographical location, family situation, among other things. And i realized religion, like most things is circumstantial. All of the arguing people are doing on this video is pointless though; religion gives people purpose. If youve "cracked the code" and are atheist, good for you, but religion gives people a reason to carry on in our sick world. I think we can all be respectful to eachother. Just a thought

  • @BenIsHybrid

So did you change from being a firm believer because you honestly thought it was the gospel truth, or was your faith something that had been pushed on you as part of your social identity? Call me cynical but I find it hard to accept that most religious people are doing anything more than lip service to their cultural upbringing.

And a thought for you in return. Religion is responsible for the worst atrocities throughout history, all because of its segregative nature.

  • @Qw3rtypop I spent my life honestly believing it was the truth, i lived my life the right way, though with mistakes along the way. And yes, it is cause for some awful things, but i dont blame religion, i blame the feral nature in people. Religion has always been our outlet for egregious acts. But take away religion and you still have a very fucked up world. There's no room for extremism anywhere in our world, but many religious people are accepting and peaceful

  • @BenIsHybrid

Well yes, religion nowadays is a bit more docile, but only because it has been so badly brow beaten into submission by the advance of science. Had it not been for these technological advances, religion would still be strong arming the day to day way of life. It was only a few hundred years ago that the western world was marching around on crusades in the name of religion.

It may be human nature at the core, but religion is used as an excuse to oppress and subdue.

  • @BenIsHybrid

If religion were to be stripped from the world, the potential for damage due to human nature would be greatly reduced, in the same way that declawing a lion would make the keeper safer. The nature of the lion remains the same, but it doesn't have the weapons to do as much harm.

I believe that the net effect of religion on the world throughout history has been a detrimental one. Hell, if it weren't for the Christian dark ages we might be on Mars by now :(

  • @BenIsHybrid

Correction: ~ a firm believer *who* honestly thought ~

Tiredness makes forming coherent sentences hard :<

  • There is so much we don't know. We will eventually know the whole truth and go on to do great things through out the cosmos. Einstien belived in a God.

  • You cannot, on the other hand, "PROVE" to other humans there is a God because we are suspicious of how such knowledge is derived. It's a personal thing and you WILL find God when you are ready. He is indeed a part of the glorious happenings in this Universe. God knows how to work the laws and has quite possibly created certain effects and laws of his own and possibly all. The mighty scientist/philosopher I know that God is!

  • In my mind, God started the process of evolution and adaptation for this universe. Hawkins does not know EVERYTHING.....I respect the man, but his approach is all wrong. He concluded there was no God before he thoroughly researched. His research is math based and he developed "theories" to prove a contention of his. He gives NO PROOF that there is no God.

  • @joevig2 but where's your proof?

  • that was such a great fucking video.

so glad i decided to watch this.

i couldn't imagine where we'd be as a society if not for people like aristotle, galileo, einstein, hawking, and many others, despite the church trying to keep them down.

  • I would convert straight to religious beliefs if one person could give good proof that God exists. However the load of cr*p I hear like "how could a human eye just form", evolution you idiots, it started just as a light sensitive cell. Then through time became more developed, just like every other complicated thing in animals. I also find it ridiculous that people just cast aside theorises so promising as in this video for such a dumb answer like "well....obviously god must of done it".

  • "You just have one life to appreciate the grand design of the universe. And for that I'm extremely grateful." Steven Hawking

  • Mother of g... Wait. Mother of nothing

  • Negitive Energy? Sounds like they have as much faith in that as in God because i see no prove for it either..

39:36- why does he asume that a creator must be bound to the law of time? To say 'God' automatically infers that you are talking about a being who is outside the law of the universe.

    poor steve..

  • Once the narrator said "Nothing caused the Big Bang", that's when I realized, yep the world is full of crackpots, including Hawking.

  • If Big Bang was created by God in nature, and he do exist... Then Who created the God? Even God himself wouldn't know that answer, I doubt anyone will. No explanation for whatever which makes God nothing more than just like the Big Bang, that popped out of nowhere. So did God create the Universe? Absolutely not until he tell me who exactly created him. My believe if it isn't for us(Everyone), God wouldn't even exist.

  • @BXtantrum i think you are attributing the same principals of the universe to that of a God. I mean, simply bringing God up requires that you treat the idea as of a God/ spirit and not material/ mattter.

Basically, the universe needs a creator, God does not because He is just that, a god.. your comparing apples and oranges i think...

  • Dear intelligence creations,

Who created God?? As you said, That creator of God, that one must be the God. Eventually, there must be a creator. There is God! God is the Originator and source of all things, even He caused the Big Bang.

  • Colossions 1:16-18 Because in Him all things all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, the visible and invisible, whether thrones or lordships or rulers and authorities: all things have been created through Him and unto Him.

And He is before all things..

And He is the Head of the Body, the church; He is the beginning, the First born of the death, that He Himself might have the first place in all things

  • please disable comments so these idiots dont ruin this awesome video
