Have you even tried the older F-Zero games? Don't think i do not know what i'm speaking about, i haven't played alot of F-Zero games, but I do have this game on my ps3. I suck a little though, but i do enjoy it. My point is that F-Zero had better music, and racing games shouldn't be about weaponry, so that argument is invalid.

I've played fzero on the N64. But i downloaded wipeout hd from psn and was blown away. I just don't like the f-zero seires because it was so bland. In my opinion, the weapons and the racing are what makes this game great. I do think the music is better in wipeout aswell but that's my opinion.

Well, that does not make up for the past. During the PS1/N64 era, the default music of wipeout sucked, but on F-zero you got great music. HOWEVER with todays technology, developers doesn't even need to make a new song for a game, something i just call being lazy. I mean, think about all the great video game music we woulda missed if developers stopped caring about making their own music, and instead make you listen to YOUR music. Taht would be like playing megaman with a CD-player by the chair.

Wipeout isn't ABOUT weapons, they're added on. I've never played an F-Zero game, so my argument is completely useless, but I'm just throwing a bit in.

And i Wipeout is medium, F-zero... HOLY SHIT!

Download a N64 Emu, then download F-Zero X. If you win the story mode then kudos to you.

Although F-zero is fun, I still prefer the legend that is Wipeout. I LOVE EVERY SINGLE WIPEOUT GAME. Wipeout 1: Rocked. Wipeout XL: Pretty good. (skipping a bit...) Wipeout Pure: Awesome shit. Wipeout Pulse: Awesome and addicting. Wipeout HD + Fury: Fucking BADASS. Wipeout's da shit! But that doesn't mean evry other futuristic racing game sucks.

yeah I added star guitar to my custom soundtrack. lots of chemical brothers, plenty of leftield, a bit of prodigy. the first song played with wipeout in this vid is terrible, just doesn't suit the game at all. I'm not into dance/trance music as much as I used to be, but this game demands it. and it works a lot better than the music I'm into these days. radiohead and kings of leon just wouldn't work with wipeout.

yeah, they've had deals since then, lowered the price to like 10$, the add on is only 10 too. Best game in my opinion next to Warhawk for the ps3. Its just so dang flashy and fast, your eyes dry out haha, but I still love it.
