thanks for posting that old 45 rpm on the record player. it takes me back a lot of years. i was 10 in 1964 and remember the first time i saw Elvis. it was in the movie Jailhouse Rock. when he sang the title song, 'cool' hit me in the face. over the years, i've gone thru 8-tracks, cassettes, and now cds. the 8-tracks and cassettes are gone now but i still have my Elvis records and a record player. when the 'King' is singing, i turn it up and 'cool' still hits me in the face.
@MiddyMadness Thank you for your kindness. Sorry I haven't responded sooner. My fondest memory was of taking my wife to an Elvis concert on New Years Eve 1975 in Pontiac, Mich. When he sang 'And I Love You So', tears were rolling down her cheeks. No amount of wealth could ever buy the joy she felt at that moment; I'm still in Elvis' debt.
Haha im only a little older then you. You should see what I have on my playlist for a sixteen year old, I have songs on there you wouldn't know cuz their so old.
@stepheyrocks i'm 14 and i listen to buddy holly, elvis presley & the everly brothers. i am the only 14yr old girl that i know that listens to old school rock n roll. & you saying what you just did makes me realize that i'm not the only kid in the world with good taste.
@irish4life69 haha, sorry it took me to long to answer I've been busy and I hate youtube messages. Anyways I know...I got stuff my grandparents grew up listening to.
@irish4life69 I did the same thing back in the late 70's early 80's. Got made fun of but I am the only one from my class who knows the words to about 95% of the fifties music from all of the artists. Big E and Jerry Lee were my favs along with Ricky Nelson. I am the one people come to when they need history on a oldie and I tell them from memory. Keep up the good work. Nowadays music is mostly crap.
@LT1HILLINGHOE well, im glad you understand, & yes its true that most music now-a-days is crap. & honestly, you shouldn't care if you're made fun of, at the end of the day you're still gunna be the one with good taste, & an insult wont change that.
When I hear this song, I think of my little childhood friend named Weechie. It was the year 1957 and I was nine years old and Weechie was eight, yet he knew all the words of
@aspag23827 And noone ever will. he was 1 of a kind. Look at some of his videos and look at Wacko Jacko's videos...Alot of similarities in dance moves Wacko Jacko imitated him
@thecolaratlady Both are talented in their own right! I'm pretty sure someone before Elvis influenced him. I personally love both artists and don't compare them b/c they are different. Micheal's voice is more angelic and soft while Elvis's is more rough. I don't even see why people compare the two..Let Elvis be the king of Rock and Michael be the King of Pop
You truly are a star! xxxxxxxxx
