if anyone is reading this go look for the freezepop version

  • My favourite too

  • MY FAVOURITE SONG !!!!!!!

  • no comments.... GREECE loves you!!!!

  • DEPECHE GODS!

  • This is the first version, but the second one sounds more disco'ey then this one, both are good

  • I LOVE this version from the some bizarre album over there first album.

  • i think they even didn't use sequencers at that time, they played all by themselves. dude...

  • THE ORIGANAL!!!!!!!!!!

  • G R E A T

  • This is the first song they ever released. Photographic was then rerecorded for the album Speak and Spell. It's great isn't it?!

  • Awesome!!! I love this version of the song and have been a DM fan since 1987 and us to bang my ex-fiancee to But Not Tonight, Stripped, Somebody all the time til she cheated on me lol.

  • definitely!

  • the best version of this song

  • My favorite version of this awesome song.

  • I still think the S&S version is waaaaay better, though I kinda like the speed to this one. Remix "I kill snitches, faggot ass snitches"

  • Thanks.

  • This is by far the best version of this track.

  • we luv some bizzare records - excellent album with this track. always the label for kool electronic muzic.

  • the original and the best. First ever recording for DM and in my opinion is far better then the S&S version. Why they ever softened it up ill never know. I can remember being dissapointed when i heard the album track. This was recorded with Big Muff and Boys Say Go for John Peel sessions...all of which were much better versions than album recordings...now if anyone has those...

  • Most of the John Peel sessions were pretty cool ... he recruited te who is who, can´t den!

John motivated his artists always to do something special ... and you can hear it.

Sounds a bit punkier and it´s faster, prefer this one to the regular album version.

  • this is a neat mix

  • This is the original version of this song not a remix.

  • Personally this has always been my Favorite mix

  • seeing this pic, its hard to imagine that Dave used to be a wild skinhead occupied with being chased by the police almost every night ^^

  • Love it - thanks for sharing this :).

  • Speaking of the Some Bizzare Double Album, I will have a track on there... I also covered this song, Fools, and Ice Machine for Modeified 7 which you can still order if you hurry :-)

  • Love this, Some Bizzare Records are excellent. Great sounds and great bands. I wish I could have seen Depeche in those days before they signed to Mute...

  • I got to know this song (version?) 2 years ago, and since then I can't listen to songs that have no synth :)

  • LOL you're so right..may I suggest you the album Metamatic from John Foxx..?

  • ekstra czad narkomando :) super!!!

  • much better!!!! Love this version!!!:)

  • Better than the album version.Kind of reminds me of Soft Cell

  • not really meecce

  • i prefer this version over the album version. i wonder why the album version is totally different and boring than this one... thats probably why most of their performances of this song is this version i guess.

  • This version was recorded for Some Bizzare thats the difference. Cheap and fast recording making it sound live. Dan Miller producing it - excellent stuff.

  • The 'Some Bizzare Album' is due for a re-release in early 2008, on CD. Great stuff.

  • looking forward to the CD re-release. The new "Some Bizzare Double Album" is being released as well. The details are on their myspace page...

  • This was Depeche Mode's first ever recording. It was recorded before the 'Speak and Spell' album. Produced by Daniel Miller for Stevo's legendary 'Some Bizzare Album'.

  • Oh. It's a title of an album. Well, don't I feel stupid. ;D

  • Some Bizzare is also the name of Stevo's record label - 'Some Bizzare Records'. Still going strong today with loads of electronic acts.

  • Bizarre? I love it!!! It's just a more sped up version of the original no?

  • It is a totally different recording.

  • This is the original version.

The Speak and spell version is a revisitation.

  • I think it is the Radio Edit.

For example I'll take Phil Collins as a great example. His hit song 'In the air tonight' live was totally different than the one you hear on Radio.
