They say NOTHING about the overall picture of the intelligence that was being painted, which indicated they were there. Even Saddam's OWN HENCHMEN believed the weapons were there. Whatever the "16 agencies" said, the CIA was not one of them, and they are the ones whose word has always been given the most weight. Saddam HAD threatened the U.S. with destruction.

@ciccone39 Yes, we miscalculated the threat in Vietnam. But big difference. Most of them weren't willing to be taken down with us--that's why it stopped there. They knew to stop there--the price of Vietnam was too high. A Jihadist --someone who practices Jihad as those sworn to destroy us use the term--has no such reservations. They don't care if they go down with us, because they've got their 72 virgins waiting for them in Paradise. That makes this MUCH different than the communism issue
