  • this is why i don't married no hmong girl

  • 1:03, pretty dumb questions by the girl.

  • Hmong weddings are things in the past and history books, since most are assimilating to mainstream Americans or marrying other ethnicity, but still are very cheaper if one practices, but there are more and more cohabitation are gaining more where brides' family rec'd nothing. :)

  • exx123456 Kuv yog hmoob kuv tsis nyiam hmoob tshoob kos.

  • We need our Hmong cultural revolution to turn the Hmong from their traditinal ways.

every day Hmong kids underage drinking at the hmong traditional ways such as wedding and others. Should some one do it !

  • @touasyang

You dont' need to turn the hmong tradition, you need to embrace your culture and tradition. Underage drinking is not just an issue of the hmong, it's everyone, you cant just say that hmong kids are drinking underage because of their tradition. It's because of personal choices.

  • omg... only 14 and did notneedd to see this yet

  • lol.. this is so interesting and the girl that asked the question sounds so hot.. haha

  • Fuck that im not gona marry to a hmong girl lol.

  • LOL....is there a reason why hmoob lees tsis muaj es hmoob dawb muaj...hu plig that is. haha. jeeezzzz, this is exactly how my kids are. Parents these days need a big whack on their head....we need to wake up and teach our kids.

  • wow that girl better be worth it...and i know that our family don't "khi teg" as well. but we do "hu plig."

  • this is a very good class... very educational about our culture.....

  • Yog hais tias shawvdaws sib hlub thiab sib to taub ces peb Hmoob cov kev cai yeej zoo heev. Tiamsis raws li pom ntau rooj mas yog depends on saib niamtais yawmtxiv puas nyiam vauv, los yog niam pog txiv yawg ho puas nyiam nayb. Yog ob tog nyaim nyiam tibyam no ces thiaj mus tau zoo li hais hauv no xwb. Yuav sau pestsawg los tau. Tiamsis yog ib tog nyiam, ibtog tsis nyiam, no ces, yeej ua tshoob tsis xws tshoob li. Tsuas yog muab ua kom tag kev tag cai lawm xwb.

  • Interesting.

  • people over there to go and do their lilo thing on people that going through surgery or anything. They didn't do it just for hmong people, they did for other race too. So that mean you shouldn't look down on the other side, especially christian or shamanism.

  • I think this is really a good video. Even though I'm shamanism I still believe in christian or whatever. But still it does not matter if you are christian or shamanism. If you do not believe in either one than don't even have to speak it out.

Think about this. You think that shamanism is stupid and shit. Well look. At this one hospital that I know they actually hire shamanism

  • This is fantastic! Thank you for sharing...

  • I think the younger men generation need to learn this. There are ignorant people saying they don't care about this, but really if they don't learn this, they will wish they will wish they did.

  • How do you get into these class? And where is this located at?

  • First of all, this is very informative - all these videos. So THANK YOU very much for sharing these with us.

Second of all, I would like to stress out to my fellow Hmong people that you guys really need to learn how to decipher between religion and culture. Somethings are part of our culture and will always be. So accept it, learn it and live with it.

With that said, I really don't care what your religion is, please, just have the common decency to respect all religions.

  • this is reasonable if your gonna go do it the hmong wayy.

  • he said CHRISTIAN sound like he tryin to cap on us.. haha ! well its okay.. lets see who goes to hell..

  • lol come on man

  • FUCK DAT ! i rather be Christian its all Free and CHEAP ! haha ! i am a christian.. i don't believe in shamanism..

  • i don't know, but i think hmong tradition is stupid very stupid...

  • very educational! thnx for uplaoding!

  • thats why you dont marry a hmong girl. lol go for a viet/lao/etc. girl

  • Lol. It all totals to about the same if the girl wants a huge American Wedding.

  • This is just his system...

hu plig does not cost $1000-2000...

    crazy!

This is where the corruption comes in play...

  • actually it depends on the shaman guy....because if the shaman guy is really conceited it will cost alot....and hmong leeg muaj hu plis too because pawm yeeb hu plis but sometimes....they don't know how to hu plis...

  • Gosh, I just LOVE my family, because they make the wedding so easy and not hard! ...sheesh..but honestly...the price range is too off...I'm sure that when my future kids get married, I'm not going to deal with the hmong marriage this way, it will cause too much problems ^_^. Its just my thoughts ^_^ I just don't like the hard complicated hmong wedding; those that make a wedding turn out to be like "hell" ^_^

  • I say elope to Vegas and be done with it.

  • Now way Micr.

Too many "mas kas" in Vegas.

    :-D

  • And "kay-doo's".

  • Hey VimKevHlub, how does one become a Hmong? hahaha. Do people get to choose what they are? Lol. You're a fukn' joke. You need to get updated fool.

  • MAN! getting married is so complicated, i mean, why can't we establish a good easy no hassle system!! Do we have to get married this way for the next few hundred years unless ur Christian ? i don't understand why we don't improve for a better marriage in the hmong community these days and it is the 21st centre!!!! One of my home boy just got married and he said it was his worst experience he had, because people dressed like their at home??? and peoples are just there to free load?please grow

  • I totally agree with you. I just don't understand the whole bowing down, dressing like normal, freeloadin' deal. The price thing is okay I guess, it's just to make sure you can provide for the daughter, but if they like you, they'll give it back. Our generation will be different I'm sure.

  • Its the tradition ^_^ but to certain parts only, some parts,I totally disagree 100%, for that we do need some changes.

  • Hmmm...the way I see it, now a day, if the traditional wedding is hard, the married couples just get married legal in the americanize system way...^_^ beside marrying in hmong isn't even legal anyways...

  • well hmong parents are always sticking with the hmong way all the way...HMONG PRIDE...but these prices are kinda high....but to be on the safe side....marriage always cost at least $10,000 and the least is $7,000 because....$5,000 for the wife...$800 for food...$2,000 for give each and everyone of the wife's brothers and sisters....and then some for the uncles and aunties....thats why it cost alot....

  • no hassle, no fun !) wink.

  • hmm...for my wedding..everything was a total of less than $8500...

  • Nyob Zoo, I'm currently a student at UW Madison Wisconsin majoring in Anthropology. I want to do my dissertation on Hmong Kab Tshoob Kev Kos and right now I'm teaching myself to hais Zaj. I was wondering if you have a e-mail that I can contact you. I think your video are really educational and I would like to learn more about Hmoob Keeb kwm.

    Xeeb Thoj

  • yea..but if u go "bendhouse"...and ur parents said NO...and they tell u to go get her...instead of "bendhouse"...but when u go get ur girl....shit they're parents call the police...now thats sad hmong...why call the police...thats just sad....

  • OMG, i am HORRIFIED!!! can't help voicing my opinions. i respect how the marriage system works in the hmong community-my hmong community-but i think we should despose the "bride price." not only does the bride price degrade, but it's also disrepectful to girls. my final word is that there's no price tag on my head and i am priceless; hmong girls and just people, everyone amount to much more than what money can pay. DESPOSE THE BRIDE PRICE!

  • Hey...!!!...its a HMONG tridition if u dont like GET OUT...dont become a HMONG...

  • Vimkevhlub<--- i See people like you will never grow!!

You see, the harder the wedding is the lesser the population is, now go out in the real world and see it for yourself what this system has done to us, A lot of hmong women now is more likely going for other mens than our own! i know this because im in a drift club! and every meet that i go to, i feel very disappointed to see our ladies with White, mexican, Philippino, black and chinese!Vimkevhlub its about evolving and adapting! not hate!

  • Sorry to blow your bubble, but you are really really wrong! You seen to doubble your rates in everything and estimations. lots of what you mentions are really offended to me koob. nqe tshoob yog $5000 stand firm, noj haus 600-800 stand firm, toob-xu+nyiaj pub and etc. regular tradition is total $500 stand firm. Everything else is your aside what you spent on the wedding yourself to make it better! If cost more than your are being ripped off, walk out! Marriaged is not business. Don't be fool!!

  • Yea i thats true....becuase Vang Pao made a statement that a bride is only $5000 and $800 for the nov haus.....HMONG PRIDe....

  • vimkevhlub, Regard of VangPao and many of the hmong heads community documented the price of marriage is! Would you want to ruin your wedding or your son or daughter wedding just because the me-koob did not agree on the price of the bride! This is their or your most happiest moments. Every parents should make it as easiest as possible to finish and brighten the wedding. Lots of parents want more money or no wedding. They just torturing their daughter's happiness, regardless she is marrying! Bad!

  • I'm kool...im a me-koob...hehehe....

  • im with you! happiness is everything, there is solutions if you seek it! hmong peoples not willing to let go of their greed, I know a hmong girl and she has told me that her parents had them just so they can get money in return in the long run!

  • Hey GoodVoice, how are ya?

  • Damn! Learning alot! ;]

  • WOW! this is great stuff. thank so you much for putting this up. Us guys up here in Canada where we don't know any of this stuff will greatly benefit from this LMAO

    -hmongcanada

  • So besides the outsiders marrage cost of $9,000 What else would be included? I Have to know this so I would know what to expect if I were to get married in the future to a hmong. ^__^

  • that chick was stupid.. n e how.. Mr. Bee, he seems 2 b a very wise man.. keep it up..

  • vpyang559...give that guy's number BEE! tell him his cousin sao yang in morganton is NC is DEAD and i need his number! I am his sister in law!

  • since your from the 559, is this Fresno State?

  • He is not 100% hmong because he mixes hmong and english together. Hey you are a hmong master you have to try to speak hmong first ok. If there is no hmong word so you can say in English.

  • hey does Master Bee still teach and have his own class?? I am one of his former students in which I graduated two years ago. Do you guys have his number because I lost it and want to contact him again as soon as possible. Thank you

  • hey where is bee teaching his class i was a former students and i dnt have his phone anymore please post asap thanx

  • goodness....what about price list for husband?

  • yeah, we need to change this as well. Buh when you think about it, the guy wins. This is because the chick's parents give you money, and also, you get the chick.

  • hahaha lol

  • Really?

  • ..no if you know him he's married..AGAIN!

  • Providing the parents except you I think thats how it works. I dunno since I'm not hmong but, very interested.

  • Well as far as I know it's $9,000 for an outsiders marriage. So I would imagine it would be divided for both parties I think.

  • Love these videos Pheng! I just wanted to comment that his cost sheet can change dramatically depending on the two families and how much they are willing to pay. Very interesting though...how did Bee come up with this list? The original source?

  • where can i get this cost sheet that he has?

  • this is very educational for Hmong people who especially have no idea on what to do on Hmong marriages.

  • that is true about how the green hmongs who don't hu plis and kis tes for their nyabs. it's something that was never done for generations but is starting to change b/c i have a friend who married a green hmong and they did not kis tes for her so her parents "fine" his parents for it. but when their daughter married, the expect the other side to kis tes for their daughter...:) very infomative video!

  • lol....what the hell? lol. wiscon and minasota people. lol.
