  • I just picked up one of these babies at an estate sale for $10, how much are they new?

  • @doodguy78 on the site they have them listed for about $80

  • this is an incredible axe and i can give you pointers if you need it. I split a cord of wood way faster than a gas powered wood splitter

  • I would love to see this in motion. Please demo that.

  • Good to see how it actually works - there is a good animation on the Chopper1 web site of the movement and effect.

  • what do u hav 2 type into ebay 2 buy that and is the handle wood or not

  • @beales18 just type "double headed dildo" and you will get what you want

  • mine doesn't work as good as a regular maul ,plus it keeps breaking, but its pretty old and used allot

  • That is like an alien maul. Thanks for showing what Bryan was using.

  • I found one of these in a garage sale for $10, they must have had no idea of how well these work. Worth the $10 and much more. Good maul. The Cams inside the head force the wood outward as the head bits in. Works great.

  • My dad has one of these.... freaking awesome. Nothing compares

  • I saw that video a few years ago and have been looking for this axe ever since. Thanks a lot for posting this!

  • thats a really nice axe

  • im afraid i dont know how those things inside the ax help it split wood...demo video??

  • @busterdog321 the 2 spring loaded flanges on the side of the axe open as the blade enters the log, pushing the wood away as the blade goes deeper...kinda like have someone pull the log apart as you split it.

  • @dubberdoodee thank you. it makes more sense now. however a axe that heavy looks like it would have almost no problem splitting wood.

  • @busterdog321 they move out to the side as the axe goes into the wood, making it have a super wide profile, helping it split easier,

  • Thanks for the vid. Nice to get a close-up.

  • well I just went out and purchased this axe from a guy on Craigslist for $15. I used it on some wet sycamore, about 16 inches long and 24 inch in diameter pieces. the axe will never replace a motorized log splitter but it did better than my 8 lbs maul.

  • I really want to buy this axe but i cant find anywhere to but it. I want the Black fibre core handle like this one. can you help me??

  • Check eBay, or Craigslist for a used one. Otherwise just Google for the Chopper 1 website and purchase direct from them.

  • how much does it weigh?
