  • Every time I hear this song, I'm going to think about James May from Top Gear and his Ford Capri 2.8.

  • Was hoping to find the EP of Minder with Suzi Quatro on here.

  • ITV's last hit

  • Great piano part and the occasional pull on the bass compliments it. A great tune.

  • Euston films.Class

  • Gets better as modern TV gets worse. The sheer quality always astounds me as I watch another old episode again & discover another brilliant line of dialogue or a character I hadn't paid attention to before. Quality.

  • I've only watched 1 episode recently and now I'm addicted to this shit, need help!!! I also don't miss the epesodes of CI5 profesionals, what the f••• s wrong with me!!! I love A-team but they don't play it on tv any more :(

  • Leave it out Arfur

  • If you wanna change the situation... Doot, Doot, doot....

  • this song was supposed to be the original ending to the omen

  • @FrumBeermingum It wasn't really my era, but through my parents i've grown up on Minder and still watch the repeats when ever i can on ITV 4, in fact yesterday morning when i couldn't sleep and had things on my mind, the episode from series 1 Bury My Half At Waltham Green came on and really took my mind off things.

  • Great song from truly fantastic show.

  • Love the 'sting' at the beginning - really catchy

  • I'm sorry America, but you just couldn't make'em like this. Brittish classic. Both song and show.

  • I used to think that the band Kenny wrote the theme tune to this show after seeing the credits. Great song! :)

  • @ianupton astro wars?????....You have taken my mind back to the early 80's truly...it was the only tec game i was ever into...as well as pacman!!!!!!!!!!!

  • as a small kid watching Tv in the early 80''s, you just don't understand if you are over 25 just how good UK TV used to be....

  • dennis waterman is fabulous! i love it when he comes on little britain comic releif and sings this song, he's a wonderful guy!

  • ...write de feem toon, sing de feem toon

  • Minder, along with Auf Wiedersehen Pet (1st series), best programmes ever! Classic, vintage tv, brilliantly acted, long live the 80s!

  • This brings back good memories. Nice post.

  • this is classic vintage british tv at its best. you will never see this again, only in the golden archives, in the british halls of fame , watermans a legend.

  • @cujo9 250% agree....my old headmaster just died and when i thought of him i remember the early 80's alot....and staying up week nights to watch this when i should have been in bed...

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE 'Minder' and this fab theme tune x

  • Classic 80's series.

  • dennis waterman nice looking guy in his day

  • Man, he sounds just like Ringo Starr, perhaps even a little bit better as he really hits that high note at the end.

Takes me right back to when I was a kid in New Zealand and this plus The Professionals were my favourite two programmes. Nothing but the best of British back in those days on kiwitv. My parents laughed themselves horse over the Two Ronnies leaning back on a fence going "Ooh Ah" but us young ones thought the brown leather jackets were so much cooler.

  • Not sure where you were whilst listening to Ringo cos man it sounds nothing like him, Waterman sings this with a typical West London accent and Ringo still sounds Scouse.

  • Yeah, now I see what you mean. It must have been the way Waterman sings the words "wrong occassion" that reminded me of the Beatle who felt the least self-conscious in front of a camera.

  • dennis waterman also done the theme tune to on the up a show i liked when it was on ..

  • love this show! n dennis waterman he does great songs!

  • great show. great song. great actors.

  • What a fantastic song, Dennis Waterman sung the theme tune for New Tricks as well

  • I'll be so good for you. Yes. What a true classic and a team that will never be repeated. From Terry to The Winchester Club and that crap Ford Capri that Tezzer was given. Greeeeeaaaaat.

  • has anyone else heard a kinda rap version of this tune with the sample of this playing in thye background? If anyone knows the name of the artist who does this rap version, can they let me know ? thanks

  • Its Acarine, the song is Blinder.

  • You always knew it was kicking out time at the clubs when the lights went up and this song came on.....time to head for the kebab shop and taxi rank ladies!

  • I've got a good idea, just you keep me near, I'll be so good for the Scottish play!

  • macbef was a naughty man, doo doo doo doo
