  • cool ass footage marty-what else do you have?

  • Did Playground play this show?

  • @averyprommer

    No. Tilt did.

  • Like I said "I filmed it, sitting right on the stage, believe what you want, I'm not losing any sleep over it...". We were friends before they even headlined Gilman St., It was a great set:-).

  • Marty Filmed it

  • Perfect sound....

  • Mike's old bass<3

  • On this video they are fuckin' great and looks GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD

  • I did film the show. Just remember 'Dookie' just came out and they just left Berkeley that day to go on tour to support it(who knew what was around the corner) and being friends with them, of course they let me tape it:-). Marty

  • i'm green day. can i have a copy?

  • Im pretty sure those are the drums from the Basket Case music video

  • was billies mic not working for a couple of minutes

  • Mike was so young!

  • @homeroribas

they're all 22 at this gig.

  • @morpher910 they were all 21 cuz none of their birthdays had happened yet :P

  • OMG! 2 FAVE SONGS EVER!

  • nice video real good qaulity

  • Seem to remember a little trash talking about Sacto at this show. And a little warning out back afterwords. Green Day didn't play Sacto for many years after this.

  • at one part you only hear Mikes voice, cool!

  • it's amazing to see this as an East Bay guy who grew up near these guys...from raw punk here to polished intense rock with their new stuff which is classic also

  • I'm the one that filmed the show but promised BJ that I wouldn't give it out. A promise is a promise.

  • @Matin43 i doubt u filmed that show

  • Mike ha una voce stranissima! W GD! \,,/

  • Didn't the microphone work or wasn't Billie Joe singing when Mike sang alone?

  • i think it was just good timing, as you can see when mike starts singing alone, billie is singing into the mic and then he's like wtf and the one crew member is fiddle diddling around trying to fix it

  • that the first time i ever heard mike sing without billie. its awesome

  • ummm have you ever heard of the song american eurology? or how bout over half the songs from The Network? lol.

  • oh yeah.... when i saw them live mike sang. it seemed different cuz billie wasnt singing too

  • Wow, this is really good quality for a camera in 1994

  • Fuck this is amazing. The crowd's so lucky to be so close to the, oh man. And I enjoy Mike's bit in Going To Pasalacqua :D

  • knowledge sucks ass cause it sounds more like rhythm and blues and theyre supposed to be acting punkish here...on the other hand, going to pasalacqua is the better of the two, as it makes me think of the earliest Green Day before I was born...

  • bliilie joe is crazy

  • 3:08...wow if u ever want to learn the backup vocals for the chorus that mike sings...there u go...EPIC shit right there

  • I was never in a band, but I know a lot of people who were (and still are). Going back to your philosophy on bands, it's definately an enjoyment thing, because from what I've heard, you only get enough money from gigs to have a nice dinner for a night.

  • Exactly what I think, good music, 'cept they're assholes.

  • This is awesome, I was at this show!!!! You don't have any additional footage by chance?

  • aww hes spitting everywhere!! haha.. I wish I would have been a bit older when they were touring Dookie :/

  • damn lucky crowd being so close to the stage like that...these days you'd be lucky to see green day with binoculars lol

  • lmao good one

  • do u have anymore vids of this concert

  • awesome!

  • well the members tell it how it is, and people dont like their honesty. theyre happy to be famous and they rub it in peoples faces but yknow, theyre rock stars, they get paid for that kinda shit lol. its a love or hate situation i guess. im biased too cause theyre from my hometown of manchester, england.

  • yeah. quickest selling album in history (even in the guiness book of records to this day) really says they suck.

  • if i was mike i would have just started singing the lead bit down my mic. like when oasis do it, when liams vocals go out, noel takes over until its sorted.

  • lol what better song and timing for billie joe's mic to give out haha i like hearing mike's vocals

  • Do you have the rest of this show? That's me on the crowd at about 5:20 into the video.

I had to pay some kid (Mike Cunningham)I went to school with to drive me to that show because none of my friends liked Green Day and they couldn't be gone on a Tuesday night. They best part of the show was actually Tilt- the opening band.

    Wow. Time goes by fast.

  • loving Mike's vocal solo!

  • lol is it just me or is Tre's shirt really big?

  • awesome...

  • they play this song at like every concert sept for bullet in a bible this song is so good 1 of the best green day songs ever

  • They did play knowledge at bullet in a bible, it just wasn't included on the dvd. I was there.

they also played Jaded, Maria, Homecoming and We Are The Champions

  • o they played homecoming and she those r 2 of my most favorite songs by them along wit going to pasalacqua

  • it sucks so much that those weren't on the dvd.....ugh

  • Oh and She too

  • o yea thats another very good 1

  • Really nicebut thats an OperationIvy cover

  • what happen with billie´s micro was off at the end of going

ey the owner of the video there are more videos of that show cause i think is great to see them so close i apreciate more te show ... i hope there are tell if you upload

  • nice op ivy cover

  • lol @ the beginning i was like "HOLY SHIT MIKE'S SO CLOSE TO ME!"

  • Love old green day! YOU ROCK!

  • it was weird hearing mike as the main singer- especially as you are so used to hearing billie sing on this song.

  • yeah,just becuz BJ's mic didnt work

  • someone needs to upload this show...

  • I didnt even know about this song till now !

    GO GREEN DAY !

  • =D

    Mike singing wins at life.

    GREEN DAY ROCKS!

  • can you upload the full show? if you have. thanks

  • is there a possibility to get the full show??' thanks...

  • I wasnt even one when this happened :D go green day :P

  • if this was the dookie tour.....wasnt screeching weasel one of the opening bands they had on the tour? does anybody know

  • memories. i was sitting on the stage.

    my home away from home.

god, was it really that long ago.

  • Green Day is, and always will be, my favorite band of all time. Good times, good times. I missed them on the Dookie tour because I was only 13 and couldn't go...such is life.

  • haha. you can see Billie Joe drooling when they close up on him. love this song btw. Billie has always been a hottie and always will be:)

  • I would do anything to have been around to watch Green Day rise to fame. Going to Pasalacqua ans Knowledge are my two favourite songs from 1039/smoothed out slappy hours.

The athmosphere must have been incredidle.

Mike looks gorgeus here. The rest is history indeed....

  • they played here in 92 also

  • is billie joes mic not working or somthin?

  • well, dookie came out in 1994, so how could this concert be in 1993 and be in the dookie tour? could you explain me that, please?

    thanks

  • sure i can , dookie came out in feb. 94 so most of the songs for dookie were already written, its not like they write all the songs for the record the day of recording it. for instatnce good riddance was writtin around when dookie came out but didn't come out till 97'.

  • well, but it's not on dookie tour, it's before...

dookie tour was after dookie came out...

p.s. i wasb't saying that it couldn't be in '93 i was saying it couldn't be on dookie tour (actually i have saw some performances of dookie songs before dookie came out just like you said) i just said it was not dookie tour =)

  • This was most certainly the first stop on the Dookie tour. I was horrified when I saw the ugly shirts they were selling. I still bought 2 of them.

Tilt was the only opening band. You can see some of their equipment in the background, and B.J. always had a Tilt sticker on his guitar.

It was a Tuesday night of my senior year in high school. 2/14/94

Green Day had not played the Cattle Club previously- though Jerry Perry had begged them to.

  • Cool! I filmed this.

  • Do you have the rest of the concert?

  • Yeah. This was their first show on the Dookie tour. They had just left the Bay Area hours before, the rest is history...

  • could you upload the concert to youtube? that would be cool :)
