dunno why you got so many negative ratings. I surely disagree with the muse thing, cuz they are (nowadays) bit more melodic and just more individual. Both great bands with great intention of music. BUT Muse is way better live than chevelle, the singer of chevelle sounds not as good as on cd to be honest. Still i love the albums :D!

There is nothing special with this guitarist. And that is an objective view. Any guitarist can play and/or compose this, it's simple, basic modern rock/metal music. But I'm not saying that the guitarist or the band sucks, don't get me wrong. I'm just saying, even though you might like the band, you need to hear more stuff.

Tool is boring, their lyrics are shit. The bandmembers are idiots, and their music is simple and bland to the point where it's incessant.

I disagree. I believe their lyrics have multiple layers of meaning and are well crafted, rather than simply spoon feeding you some easy to swallow message. I don't think their music is at all simple. I mean, the use of highly complex time signatures and the like is very impressive. The comment about the band members being idiots... Well, for one it's irrelevant to the music, and secondly we don't personally know them.
