  • wow something about a polished foxbody and chrome rims gives me goosebumps

  • @1971BGT Thank you. This was actually before it got painted. Search some of my other videos and you'll see it with new paint. Oh and these wheels are actually polished, not chrome believe it or not.

  • Did you have to do an EGR delete for your throttle body to work with the Edelbrock intake?

  • @civic0897 Yes. The EGR doesn't run down through a Victor EFI intake like it does through other efi intakes.

  • do you drive this car comfortably on the street ?

  • @wpl3773 Define your "comfortably."

  • @vibrant93 can i drive it to the store and maybe to a car show an hour away?

  • @wpl3773 Oh without a doubt. With the suspension it's not the most comfy of rides but I personally wouldn't hesitate a bit since I am use to the car. On the highway it's just like a normal car engine wise. It's up out of the "buck" point of the cam so you'd never know there was anything different about it. I drive it way more than most would think. The expensive fuel is pretty much what limits things for me anyway.

  • Can you inbox me exactly what dr gas x pipe that is, and where to get it... I looked on there site and saw xscream and other kinds

  • also what cc heads r those?

  • @wpl3773 I bought the throttle body used off the corral many years ago. It's an Accufab. The heads have a 56cc chamber.

  • where did you get your throttle body?

  • @vibrant93 ya that feelings unmistakeable when everything pays off, my trucks a just yard explorer setup all paid for and built by me, drove it 2 hours home from college ran a 14 flat first time ever making a pass and drove it home that night. I had a smile so big my cheek muscles were sore for a week lol

  • if i spent half as much time studying college work and not your videos i would have a 4.0 and graduate early! Whats the trans tko? i assume whatever it is its faceplated judging by 7000+rpm shifts like the go pro video?

  • @89Ranger302 Get back to the books damnit! Only kidding. I did the same thing with Marc Arnolds 93 cobra back when I was in school. It's actually a G-Force T-5. Dog ring / straight cut gear deal. It's been good to me.

  • @vibrant93 okay knew it had to be atleast a gforce, nice car man.little small block likes her rpms thats for sure, your 8k rpm mistake video makes me giggle like a school girl every time

  • @89Ranger302 I'm glad it makes you giggle too. That video just happend to be the car's 1st time to the track with the 306. Go figure it blew the Auburn into pieces very early into the weekend but I got my first low 11 pass with it so I was "on top of the world" as they say. As you can tell, that vid was shot with a little liquid courage in the system...

  • Where u get that cam I've been lookn for something like that

  • @Bjvids26 Anderson Ford. They are out of Illinois.

  • sounds good man

  • @SUP3RCHEVY Thank you.

  • ill never down a good ole 5.0, but if thats a stock short block except pistons how in the hell is that poor thing holding together at 7 grand lol

  • @bmx500 That's a question that I ask myself every time I see the tach swing up past the 7k mark. Thankfully though it's held together long enough for me to enjoy it and not ruin a good set of heads! The 306 has done it's job and will be coming out this winter. I'll post vids of the tear down.

  • @vibrant93 dang man that just goes to show ya how much torture they can put up with sometimes. I read you were buildin a bigger one, you usin the same block or has that one lived its life? lol

  • @bmx500 I agree! Yep going bigger this winter. I'll be using a Dart Sportsman block. Thinking the 306 will be put in the corner in case of a rainy day.

  • @bmx500 My opinion is the rods and pistons can handle 8 as is. I know he's upgraded the rings and bearings with a more potent product. THe valve springs are good and that n-91 cam is as strong as it gets. A fantastic tune and you have nothing to worry about. Im sure it's got heads so that aint jack with a smaller high revving short stroke 302 block. It's not the parts that make un-reliablity... It's the parts chooser and he did a hell of a job. If that's the case the 5.4L needs to quit LOL

  • @bmx500 I've had a stock 302 block, rods and pistons hold together at 7500 rpm, for quite some time, too. The 302 is a very good engine, even in stock form.

  • what compression?

  • @BLACKLACDTS 12:25:1

  • I want a drive by vid of this thing! Awesome vid, sounds like popcorn. Can definitley tell its cammin'

  • @2stage90 Check some of my other videos.

  • Very nice and clean coupe, sounds awesome!

  • @Mycivicjdmcoupe Thank you!

  • Whats serise Spin Techs are those?

  • @lost4life13 They were called the super pro's when I bought them. This was back in 2005.

  • That is 1 bad ASS STang

  • @breakerbroke23 Thanks!

  • Isn't 90% duty cycle safe on injectors or whatever? I'm sure I'll make about 40 less horsepower than you, I should be able to make it with 30s then. What kind of MAF are u running?

  • Make a longer vid. This is too short.

  • sounds awesome!

  • How many lb injectors are you running?

  • @88gt306 Thanks guys! I'll work on a longer video. It's got 30lb injectors in it which are seeing 103% duity cycle at 7300rpm according to a PMS I was using a few years back. Probably time for some 36's or 42's.

  • That sounds and runs awesome. I watch some of your other videos as well. What CC runner trickflow heads are they if you don't mind? Also, how many thousanths did you have to flycut the pistons? Man that car sounds wicked.

  • @04KBSVT Thank you! It's been a great little motor, it's been hard to justify building something bigger. The heads were off the shelf TFS Street heat Trick Flows that I had Anderson do port work too back in 2005. I want to say TFS advertised the heads as a 170 intake runner back when I bought them new. I really don't know what they are now to tell you the truth. Pistons were not flycut. They are out of the box Ross with a dome.

  • Would love to see the look on an import fans face when you roll up beside them in that

  • @SuperCrudedude Mine sounds like that, and I'll tell you that look is priceless.

  • good God sounds like I'm at the race track. Is it mostly the mufflers that give it that nice cackle??

  • @turfguy87 The compression gives it a little more pop.

  • @turfguy87 What kinda of muffers do you have? Car sounds wicked.

  • @mr45ruger this is not my car; I wish it was :-)

my 5.0 is more of a street racer/cruiser

  • @mr45ruger They are 3" Spintech's. Thanks!

  • stock rods!? I prey you have ARP rod bolts at the least

would make me pucker right up everytime the tach hit 7,000

  • @Xarmy187 Stock rod bolts. It rev's too fast in 1st through 3rd gear to think about it but I'll tell you what. My ass does pucker when we start to swing past 6700rpm at the big end of the track in 4th gear.

  • car is nice

  • What kind of pistons were you running?

  • @superdriver777 They are Ross. I can't remember the exact cc of the dome.

  • Try their web site.

  • Where could I get an N-91 cam? I checked Summit, and they dont got em. Any suggestions?

  • @TwistedJunkiee Anderson's website has them

  • I just bought a house so my 363" project is on hold for a year or so. I'm really debating throwing a Box-R intake and an N-113 cam in it this year just to see what this little 306 will do. I think the heads might be the limiting factor at this point though!

  • @vibrant93 The kind of RPM you''ll pull with an N-113 will be enough to split the stock block straight down the middle, if you don't spin a bearing before that.

  • @LXnastynotch93 Probably true. I'd just love to see what this thing could do with a few more cfm and a few more rpm though!

  • @vibrant93 Oh no doubt it'd be pretty beastly. That thing is already ridiculous as it is. A 10 second 302/306 based car that's basically an H/C/I car is pretty damn amazing. You must have the suspension dialed in on that thing.

  • @LXnastynotch93 It's funny, the car has put up it's best 60' when it had the stock front suspension in it. Since going to a tubular front end, coilovers, etc it hasn't been able to match the best short time. However it's getting to the 330' faster so the weight reduction is probably making up for that. I think it's got a 10.70 in it the way it currently sits.

  • @vibrant93 Wow that surprising. With stock suspension my car hopped like crazy. That thing's gonna be a beast with a 363 CI. Good luck with you build.

  • Once you start getting over the N61 your gonna need more gear then a 3.73 or 4.11. IMO They will buck like crazy cammin that hard at low RPM's. The cams do work though...Damn do they work.

  • I should have the car ready for action by the end of January. I live in southern California so winter time is not an issue for me. Man, I can't wait!!!!

  • Yeah, it was well gutted.

  • I had the hatch at 2,400lbs. I'm thinking with the notch, I should have it at 2,300-2,400lbs.

  • @12psiCOBRA Wow, that's light!

  • I'm aiming for 12:1 compression. Hopefully it'll run as good as yours.

  • My compression is to low(10:1) motor was originally built for nitrous but I'm running n/a. Next year I'll have the motor rebuilt and I

  • The car sounds good!!!! I have a 85 lx hatch with a 347 stroker AFR 205 heads with an Anderson N-111 cam. I was running a stock T-5 tranny With 4.10 gears and it wouldn't do the job. Car would always bog off the line. I am currently in the process of swapping everything over to a 85 coupe along with a C4 w/ 5500 stall and a 4.56 gear.

  • @12psiCOBRA I think that 347 is going to run pretty well with the c-4 and N-111 once you get the converter right. What will the 85 weight? That's going to be a fun car! Should be a low 10 second ride! Good luck with the winter project.

  • nice i love idle sounds

  • @pimponcito2 Thanks!

  • Oh, and mine weighs 3080 with me in it. I'd like to get it down below 3k but i'm not ready to strip the interior yet. I'll be happy with anything in the 11s. Lots of people are telling me it should go 11.30s if it'll hook but that sounds a bit fast to me. My short block came out of an '87 LX that was going 10.50s all motor but he had Dart heads, Parker Funnel Web and was launching and shifting at 7500rpm. At least i know this N-91 will rev that high, and on stock lifters to boot.

  • Oh, the heads aren't E7s they're '69 351W heads, 1.94/1.60 valves, ported and polished to hell and back. They came off a dirt modified circle track car that supposedly made 600hp all motor (what the guy i bought them from told me). I haven't had them on a flow bench but they're making power comparable to some aftermarket headed 347s i've seen so i'm pretty happy so far.

  • I ran a Wieand Stealth duel plane when i had it dynoed and it put down 362hp/364tq on a Dynojet. I'm switching to a Victor Jr and a custom Pro Systems carb, hoping to get real close to 400rwhp on ported stock heads.

  • @EvilSSP Depending on what the car weighs it should run pretty good, and that's way impressive on e-7's! I assume you went to a 1.84/1.54 valve in them?

  • Sounds awesome man...i have the same cam in a low compression 347 and i always thought the lope on mine was a bit tame but it sounds a lot like yours. I have yet to run mine, it's in the shop for paint.

  • @EvilSSP A friend of mine just got his 13:1 306 running and it has a Jay Allen sollid roller in it. The n-91 sounds way more aggressive then that cam, I was shocked! What intake are you running on your 347?

  • What is the drivability like on this cam? And, is it a 110 LSA, or a 106 LSA? Sounds like a 110.

  • @flamechicken You are correct it is a 110* lobe seperation based cam. Not sure I've ever seen a 106* work with an EFI car but I could be wrong. Drivability is exactly what one could expect with a cam of this size on a small 306" based motor. Anything below 1700rpm and it'll start "bucking" with the 5-speed. Something an automatic would probably suck up.

  • @vibrant93 Interesting. I agree with what you are saying about the 106* lobe sep, I read somewhere that it may be either a 106 or 110, anderson doesnt do a very good job of giving out cam specs. Right now I have a Comp XE274HR in my 331, but i'm removing it for an anderson cam. I am thinking of either this cam, or the N71. Where does the power band start in this cam?

  • @flamechicken On my 306 it comes on strong around 4500rpm and will carry up a peak of about 6700 and falls of some but holds a nice flat power curve past 7200. After 7200 it falls off very fast. On a 331 I bet it'd peak somewhere down around 6400rpm or so.

  • Yeah I've heard a lot of positive reviews on these anderson cam grinds... to be completely honest I've never actually heard a bad word on them.

  • @GCSeeg09 In the h/r big rpm cam world they really have their shit together, especially with the tfs heads. I was very concerned going with a cam this big and still maintaining an idle that didn't surge. Heck, my old e-303 back in the day would hunt for idle! This stick fires right away and idles like a champ.

  • Hey man, if you look at my favorites list of videos you would realize I'm a bowtie guy but I'll always have a special place reserved for the foxbody 5.0 and you did an exceptional job on this engine and from the low e.t's an exceptional job on the car as a whole. I am curious as to what rear gear you are running though?

  • @GCSeeg09 Thanks for the nice words! It's been a major work in progress. The car has a 4.56 gear.

  • @vibrant93 no problem man, and I was figuring it was a pretty steep gear to run the n91 cam with a 306 thats a pretty monstrous cam to say the least!

  • @GCSeeg09 Yeah it really is a stout stick, thats for sure. The street manors aren't the best (who am I kidding, they SUCK) but I still do enjoy driving it around more than I probably should! It'll still pull enough vacuum for brakes and I can idle it at 1000rpm and not worry about killing lifters like a solid roller will so all in all it's doing a good job. Went a best of 11.44@119 with a 4.30 gear.

  • They are ross dome's. I dont have the job card in front of me but I know with the 58cc chambers in the heads they put compression right around 12.5:1. Keep it simple with the tune, I've tried everything (sct, pms, etc..) and so far the stock eec with a crystal mod to get around the rev limiter and an old fms extender have provided the best results.

  • Well, in looking at their site they are now called the pro shoot out mufflers. When I got them spintech was still an up and coming company. They were called the sportsman pro back then. They are 3" behind a 3" x-pipe.

  • What series of spintechs are those?Wow it sound good.Flowmasters are for fags or would you say blowmasters anyway they dont even compare!!!!

  • @burnindarubber lol has nothing to do with anyones sexual orientation what exhaust sound they prefer =) car sounds real good!

  • Those are some american thighs!! Nice!

  • OMG beautiful car and sound man!
