ahh i think i understand now!! basically. the girl had a nasty riding accident so she had to go to the hospital. then while they were in the hospital she was happy because her parents were together with her. so now she feels the only way she can get her parents together again is if she goes back into the hospital! thats why she keeps trying to hurt herself by falling off her horse by making it bolt! so she can go to the hospital! ahhhh it took me so long to figure that out.. :)

Even at age 11 and I'm only 13 now and because of the divorce, I had to watch my mother go through depression. It's definitely screwed me up.
