@kylebarlow93 that is a minor proportion of the whole country you imbecile even in enfield there are majority English people. go into hertfordshire or most other places apart from big cities and its still 99% English. all cities attract immigrants.
I love the Queen and the monarchy but this should be the official English national anthem. The Scots, Welsh and Irish all have theirs. Keep God save the Queen for the British national anthem. A national anthem such as this may help bring back some much needed national spirit and pride back before it's too late!
Lol, at 1:50. It someone graduating? I honestly never knew this song was British or even had lyrics, I just think of high school graduation when I hear it.
@TheStig3566 One of those long baloons you let go and they fly around a room, they are an adult toy during conferences...fun when drunk...... I wonder who the drunk idiot was that let it go.. lolololol
@TheStig3566 That's the air being let out of balloon; it's something of a tradition to let the air out of a balloon when Land of Hope and Glory is played.
When you start saying or acting like your the best nation in the world like that's when you gain enemies. The english are modest people, it isn't that we aren't patriotic people we just don't feel the need to boast our achievements and such to the whole world unless we our defending ourselves. They don't call us the lions for nothing.
Filled my heart with joy after all that has happened in our wonderful country. Let's fight back Britain we won't take this off these idiots! Reclaim our streets once and for all
Breathtaking! Such a huge orchestra (since Holst's the Planets was part of their repertoire that evening) - Makes my shine shiver. The organ that becomes more noticeable towards the very end also adds a magnificent touch!
the british have 3 awesome patriotic songs (Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory, Jerusalem), but no, their national anthem is the dreadful God Save The Queen. Go figure.
OMG this blows that lame American version right out of the fucking WATER! I wish we played this one at graduations—there wouldn't be quite so much god-damned repetition, and the band wouldn't fall into that blechy hypnotic stupor. Hope and Glory! Yea!
you know. i felt that all patriotisum was lost in our union, being from Noethern Irland, we fell that it's the last place left of British patriotisum. but seeing all these flags, and scottish flags and welsh together for our nation. i must say. im breth taken. but if scotland broke away, the magin of the UK will be lost. and we will lose to the powers evil.
Ahhhhhhhhhh Last Night of the Proms....is there any better performance from the public...yes the public!!!! Everywhere I have conducted, every Proms concert I have directed...there is none like the true British one!!!
Rupert Jones thanks for posting this on the internet. We in Australia love the Proms. It would be great if the BBC had a live Australian audience from the Opera House to join the Last Night. Anyway the Proms represents the best of British culture and thanks again
@thedoc241000 If you point out the flags that aren't UK origin I'll let it go... This is British whether you like it or not.. We have the Welsh Flag, ST.Davids Flag, George Cross, saint andrew's cross, the Lions, the Union Jack and probably hundreds more
@LolFishFail It's not British, it's English. Elgar was English born and bred. The sweaty socks and sheep lovers have their own pieces of music, let us have this.

Yeah after some thought folks, your probably right..... consider that foolish thought retracted :) A pleasent evening to you.... I am now of to punish myself very badly..
@ryantortallini This is as English as our tea and crumpets but unfortunatly our beautiful Country isn't English anymore. If you ever come to England take a drive through Hackney, Enfield, Edmonton, Wood Green. That's what people call English these days.. lol
No one, I repeat NO ONE, does pomp and ceremony like we British do and I am proud to be an Englishman!

Land of Hope and Glory,
Mother of the free,
How shall we extole thee,
Who are born of thee,
Wider and still wider,
Shall thy bounds be set,
God who made the mighty,
Make thee mightier yet!!,
God who made thee mighty,
Make thee mightier yet!

God who made thee mighty, make thee mightier yet.
