WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MURDER OF LINCOLN PARK??? I WILL TELL YOU,1. the former owners who closed down and failed to have her protected by the historical society as a historical land mark , failed to make any efforts to keep lincoln park up and running,.2, the real estate agents because of their greed refused to help preserve her and protect her as a historical site failed lincoln park to remain intact and running and not protect her from ruins 3.the arsonists finished her off!!
thank you so much for this video amazing! I've always wondered what it was like riding this ride! I used to live here but never been to park when open but always seen it abandoned.
Awesome nostalgia!! I never rode this coaster when I was a kid being too afraid to do so. A couple month's ago I rode the slightly larger, Giant Dipper in Santa Cruz, Ca for the first time and LOVED IT!! I wish Lincoln Park was still in business : (
The only way to save the park is to get alot of people like 50 or so and all get loans for $100,000 each person total 5 mil or more and buy the park back rebuild the roller coaster and bring back the rides that use to be there and maybe build new rides. Who knows the land might be down in price since the house market fell. It would be nice to see some good things happen in this world for once.
Lincoln Park was a great place. Very family orientated and fun. It's too bad the roller coaster was so dangerous. One of the most unsafe coasters ever. Lots of accidents & some deaths. Even If the park was opened today security would probably have to be beefed up due to all the gang activity. The good ol days.
This was FAR from one of the most unsafe coasters ever. There was only ONE person who died at that park. It was a guy who got out of the cart he was in while the ride was still going.
awesome film!! the only good thing about the summer of 1978 for me was staying on the comet about 5 times in a row without getting back in line because of the handfull of tickets i kept giving the guy to stay on! awesome film! thank you for shareing that!
i remember riding this roller coaster back in 1985 with my grandfather he had me ride this 4 times in one night a man at his age did nothing but laugh his but off we had fun this is great memories i had with my grandfather he past away in 1995 god bless you grand pa
I never ended up getting to ride the Comet before its demise, but it looks to have been quite an intense coaster...sort of along the lines of the Cyclone at Six Flags New England.
What a great ride. RIP

That gave me a smile. Thank you. I remember this coaster well, and it was a wonderful thing. For most of it's life safe, well cared for, and enjoyed.
