I just got to this part in the game but they do like 1500 damage to me, and kill me in one hit is there anyway I can do this while I'm here or am I underleveled?

Strategy works great for me...takes me just under 2 minutes on average, but I'm guessing the time will go down the more often I do it :)

I am not using the egg.

My characters are slightly beefcake at this point, as I had been doing it for a while, but I promise you, you can do it without being too far leveled; I did this nearly as soon as I entered the Chapter 11 area on my second play through. It's all about strategy and Triangle. =P

@rockandrape I use this tactic at the moment and it down work well...however i have finisehed the game and am grinding for other things. My advice is to ignore it the first time you ar ehere. Go into the mines behind them and make a loop. What loop? Start of the save point and then when the road forks turn left. At the end you will find 5 mainchines. fight them and the return to the save point. They give you alot of CP with little effort. Return later whn your stornger for the other tactic

All your characters are maxed on the Crystarium. You have obnoxious amounts of gil.

I figured this out, and posted this, during my first run through of the game. Look at the "Added" tag. -_-; Also, this was before killing Neochu, which, by a lot of standards, is just not worth getting in Chapter 11.

Sorry no point 4 is because i have reach the word limit so i deleted it.

I suggest to go to other fight and use reset is use after you kill the two monster.

They will "reborn" after you take another fight no matter u win the next fight or just reset.

The single KB(King Beheemoth) is near the save point fight it and reset use less time than save and load(FF13 need about 30s to load a save).So point 5 is tell u how to save time after kill the 2 monster but not tell u to kill the single KB..

No, you're not understanding; You don't need to save and reset.

You just run up to the save point, and at that point creatures in a certain radius respawns.

There's no reason to save and reset after each fight, you just run TO the save point, turn around, run back down and the monsters will be there again. No need to actually interact with the save.

1: 1 attacker and 2 blaster and you control the attacker

2: the king Beheemoth will change it form when being attacked before "break"

3. keep use Triangle to keep the king Beheemoth in the sky otherwise it will have time to change form

5.you can fight the other single king Beheemoth and push reset during the fight

then you can see those 2 monster will reborn and then you can kill it again.

6.If he change form, blaster is useless use AAB to kill it(if you have lv8 crtstal)

Congratulations? You just said exactly what this video is..? It's faster to just restart the fight if he changes forms, in chapter 11, he'll rape you. Don't get into another fight, just goto the save to restart.

@ShuraHaidate Late response, but the behemoth king is vulnerable to curse, even in his upright state. It's possible to play defensively until he's cursed and almost staggered, then go all out and defeat him. It takes a damn half hour if you're just coming out of chapter 10, but you'll still get 5 stars.

I beat this like twice but now every time i go in the King Beheemoth keeps healing when he's staggered before I can finish him. I don't get why he just magically started doing it when he didn't before.

It's entirely random. Be sure to space attacks well to launch as soon as he's staggered, and to keep juggling him. This requires use of the the Triangle command.

This area is available to grind the minute you get into Chapter 11. It's more difficult, though, if you don't do some missions and leveling beforehand.

If you get hit, just have a COM-RAV-MED setup ready to cure when the Megistotherian hits you.

The reason why my characters SEEM strong is because of the fact that:

A.) The stagger chain is HUGE on the Behemoth.

B.) I had been using this method for a good hour or so before then.

No, it's not the easiest. Cactuars actually take a while to kill, unless you somehow know how to get a preemptive on them.

The stagger chain, that's all.. On a King Behemoth with this method, the stagger chain hits 999% instantly.

That, and Fang is the strongest character in the game.

With the growth egg this is 13,200 CP for 11-15 seconds of work. I timed myself and got about 120k CP in 10 minutes (gets boring though). It's no 1.4 million exp/hr, but this is a lot easier and lower level people can do it too.

Try using COM+COM+RAV (aggression paradigm I think it is called). I used lightning, fang and hope. With this paradigm, while you focus on the behemoth king, the other COM will attack the tiger (not sure why, he/she just does), but that helps maintain the chain. The behemoth should die quickly (1 round of attacks). As soon as he dies, the tiger will be ready to chain and will die in a few attacks.

I level in the same spot (recently anyway) because it is so quick. However, 50 seconds is a lot longer than it should take. It could be because I didn't start doing this until chapter 13, but even before that I was able to take these guys down in ~15 seconds. My personal best is 11 seconds.

Yes, this is because I was in Chapter 11 when I took the video.

Now, I could probably down the fight in all of 5-10 seconds with the Ultimate Weapons, but there's no point because bomb farming was so much faster after the CP egg, and my characters capped totally within a couple hours of grinding.

In Taejins Tower on the 5th floor is a Statue to fight a class B monster called Mushussu, Mission 24 - A Potent Sting. I kill it in 20 seconds and 6 seconds with a back attack, 3 commando's and STR boosting Equipment because its attacks are weak. Every battle gets you 6k CP and a Moonbless seed to sell 99x = 594000. The monster spawns instantly 3 seconds away everytime you accept the mission, which means no more saving and reloading. Enjoy.

This is what I do but I make sure to have Ruthless (RAV-SAB-COM) and Diversity (RAV-MED-COM). Also, you can just run up the hill and fight the other King Behemoth while they respawn.

I realize this is a month old, but you don't have to wait for the ATB gauge to hit filled.. If you hit triangle, it uses whatever is filled on the ATB gauge instantly.

Actually Titan can cause it to happen as well. Not sure why exactly but he does it when you accept any of the missions that involve the Cie'th stones in that circle.

I used light-hope-sazh with rav/rav/syn and that works easiest if you just started chapter 11 like me, instead of switching to where you get haste after you stagger him then switch to relentless assault afyer you Stagger and at least 2 people will have been hasted then use heros charge on the other beast...it starts with an m or something lol

@KoolJayJ you can try Lighting or Snow with Fang and Hope. 1st RAV/COM/RAV. 2nd COM/COM/RAV. First have Lighting attack King B then change to 2nd as soon as King B is staggered. That should stop the transformation. If you do this fast enough the gray monster will be staggered as well. It only takes me about 18 secs most of the time to take down these two with this method.

It's impossible to stop the behemoth sometimes. He's touchy and just instantly transforms before breaking, sometimes.

Don't worry, you'd be surprised how overpowered you get later on. ;)

Have you done any Marks?

Do some Marks, they give you a TON of CP.

Have you tried fighting the Megistotherian with a Diversity or a COM-MED-MED setup?

If you can't do either, go into the Mah'habara tunnels, just past those two monsters, and XP off the robots, they give a TON of CP. :]

Once you reach the tower, if you can, there's a Mark up there..

The mark is REALLY powerful, but it's a teleport mark. I'd recommend doing it so you can easily just teleport around.

If you're killing them at 31 seconds, there's no point in this method, you should go do Bombs in Mah'habara's "An Asylum from Light."

With a CP egg, you can get about 1,280,000 CP/Hour. ;D

The easiest way to do this is post game, once you get Crystarium Level 10, Vanille acquires Death.

Equip her debuffing staff, have someone as Sentinel and someone as Medic, and play as Vanille and spam death on the Neochu.

you can get the death spell at stage 9 at the end of chapter 11. I'm not sure if it smart to fight on mission 55 (at that point), but this attack is giving to you at the end of chapter 11.

Do the first 14 missions, you'll get the ability to ride a chocobo. Go around and pick up all the old treasures that you couldn't get without a Choco, and do the chocobo digging minigame. :D

You can dig gold nuggets that sell for 60,000. Also, kill Cactuars and such that you see running around, their drops go for 14,000+ gil.

Ha! yea i found these puppies as well, ground them for a few hours, all my characters main classes are at level 4, max orbs and abilities now. I'd like to point out that Hope doesn't get Haste (at least at level 4) so you have to use Sahz. My combo is the same, but with light instead of Fang, current biggest hit at 27k :D Got the killing time down to 45 seconds. Very fast CP.

Killing the Megistotherian is the hardest part when you start, just switch to a COM-RAV-MED. :D
