I live in New Jersey in the US. Can't carry any pepper spray in my state but I can carry a locking knife with a 6 inch blade if I choose. The laws are made by morons.

@cianw10 hey mate if i were to walk the streets with a knife for "self defence" i could potentally get 5 years in jail so i never do , if you had a gun on the street ,and if you dont get shot first by the police you are definately going to do 5 years in prison so this stuff is pretty much our only decent legal option

@cianw10 dunno mate i,m not keen on the idea of people carring guns or knives even if i was legally allowed to as well , i know that people do carry them illegaly but if it were legal a lot more people might be tempted to do aswell and i could imagine freaks pulling knives or guns for petty things sounds dangerous if you have an minor argument here most likely people wont be carrying stuff depending were you are so most confrotation would result in a fist fight not a gun fight

@johnjayrambo11111 In the USA, people carry guns and knives all the time. I have yet to see one of them pull it out for stupid, small stuff. That is some idea that people keep holding onto, but it is not the truth. Guns and knives don't make people violent, they are already that way to begin with and they'll carry weapons anyway if they are looking for a fight.

@johnjayrambo11111 i live in a state where you are legally allowed to carry concealed weapons and moderate sized knives. i haven't seen this kind of activity. the people who pull guns and knives over petty things are usually the type of people who would carry weapons illegally.

@cianw10 we have had innocent bystanders including young children shot in the cross fire of nutters shooting at people and i personally imagine if they were legal to carry i would happen alot more often but if the government said tomorrow you were allowed to carry guns then I WOULD so i was not at a disadvantage from others

I think that if there where backround checks and age limits etc. i mean, take for instance when that taxi driver went mad with a shotgun and killed about 10 people. if just one person had a conceal carry firearm they could have saved alot of lives. this is just one scenario of many where people could have been saved. people still get firearms illegally for illegal activity. banning firearms from the Uk only banns the firearms

@EDINBURGSTAR were not allowed much self defence products over here joe so this is about the best we got legaly , it will temporarally blindfold someone so you can escape and leave them dyed red
