  • wow great playing

  • Killer man I LOVED it!!!!!! MORE!

  • Can't get it goin ???? I hope I see the day when I can't get it goin that well David. Unbelievable performance !

  • This convinces me of one thing.

The Deering Crossfire is the best sounding electric banjo on the market.

  • dang, now i gotta yell out one thing! Freebird!!!!!!

  • Yeah Buddy! That was exceptionally cool. I wish I could figure out that lick that starts at about 2:52 to transcribe for guitar.

  • Just freakin excellent!!!

  • Great Playing and sounds!!! I enjoyed it very much.check out my hillbilly hell vid if you wanna see me jamming on a banjo.all the best!!!

  • Wow that looks complicated. How hard is this type of banjo playing in comparison to a simple bluegrass tune like foggy mountain breakdown? Thanks.

  • Way harder I would imagine. Bluegrass tunes have typically pretty easy chord changes and are easy to improvise over. Jazz tunes are way harder to understand musically to interpret on a banjo.

  • Yes jazz has harder chords but alot of the scales overlap so the lead parts aren't too much harder than a bluegrass tune. Ever try to play "Smashville" like Ron Block? Its just as hard as a jazz tune!

  • that was very cool! :) a have a version of the same song among my videos playing with my trio....please take a look :)

  • Crossfire Banjo

  • I wonder what classic bluegrass would sound like on an elec. banjo!

  • Robin Williams meets Bela Fleck :D

  • Holey Smokes..........and I thought you only played that Pa hillbillie music! Just great! See ya around!

  • wow man wow

  • What Hendrix did for guitar your doing with Banjo...Fluid & natural, iv'e got that warm fuzzy feeling.

  • holy shit...ok safley say i wasnt expecting that...verry nice awsome sound

  • Thanks dat da shiznit David! You looks like your feelin it to me man! Made want to go bug the guy at the music store tomorrow to play an electric.

  • That was off the hook

  • Would love to see a follow up video talking about some of those runs beginning around 32 secs - really clever work, reminds me of the guitarist John Mclaughlin.

  • Excellent jazz banjo
