For over 40 YEARS, Ritchie Blackmore has been the pre-eminent guitar player of his time. Yes, we'd all rather see him put together another incarnation of Rainbow, but he's happy doing what he's doing now, and he's EARNED that right.

@DancesWithJoy I posted elsewhere that, in my opinion, after 40 years in various aspects of music that Ritchie Blackmore has EARNED the right to do as he pleases. I still believe that, just as I understand that another version of Rainbow is EXTREMELY unlikely. If there were to be a new Rainbow album I also know that it would be a one-off. But I'd still like to hear it!

I know it's not happening, especially with Dio gone. I guess I'll have to settle for Over The Rainbow and J.R. Blackmore!

It's so funny how the keyboard player continued to play the solo when it was Ritchie's turn. Just look at Ritchie's gesture at around 5:18, you can tell that he's pissed off lol. Great performance anyways.
