that why i went with benq xl2420tx with the built in emmiter from nvidia should be at my door step soon cant wait for that. Not only does it support true 120hz over dual link dvi it also has 2 hdmi 1.4 ports that support 120hz/3d for the ps3 as well think that is the only monitor at this time that does do that and that was more important for me then the samsung being able to convert 2d-3d with only samsung 3d and not nvidia as i like to mess with the depth samsung u cant nvidia u can.

Even hdmi 1.4 cant support the bandwidth for true 3d @ 120hz, therefore your gonna sacrafice some fps probly rendered in 24fps if your wanting to run nvidia 3d vision you have to use their software which only supports 720p @30fps or 1080p@24fps, other then that this monitor is beautiful though

got this baby 2 weeks ago, for gaming and the odd 3d game and movie. For these purposes it is brilliant. Glossy screen not good for sunny lounge room gaming/watching. Brilliant blacks and colours. The 3d is extremely good and no wonder they don't want to bow down to Nvidia, because tri def with a good video card is pretty much the same and Nvidia's 3d.
Got it for $490 Australian dollars delivered, a great deal in my opinion. Bf3 gaming is also fluid and quite awesome at 120hz.
Not as good as NVDIA VIsion 2 Asus Monitor 27" which I tried both at SC2, samsung one make me dizzy and is not bright enough is more like NVDIA vision 1 tech but with nicer design. the 2d-3d convesionis gimmeck really. problem is not many video are made for 3d, as for game is depend on game profile. SC2 is the best 3d gaming so far especially the in game cut scene.
@knexfan0011 yes, but will depend of the game. even a gtx 590 wont play crsis 2 on max settings at 120Hz, though if u drop the setting if will reach 120Hz and the monitor will display it. Aniother thing to keep in mind framerate depends on render. if ur at the desktop dont expect tp open fraps and see 120Hz. it will probably render around 30-40 when moving mouse and still image go dowbn to 1-5, due to the fact that its not necassary for that high frmae rates
@superliontiger12 I run two gtx 570's in sli on crysis 2 1920x1080 @ 120hz with Nvidia 3D Vision I have the DX11 patch and the ultimate textures in all max settings and max AA I don't know the exact frame rate but it flows like liquid so find it hard to believe 1 590 couldn't do the same when it doesn't have to render the 3D.
That'll be a very, very good monitor. And I love the thin bazels. But glossy screen, horrible stand and that price ?! I could have a 40" 3D TV for that amount money ?!
@nirwanaeathell No. It is not an IPS panel like the Apple, the Apple will win in image quality every time. This does 3d though. If you like 3d it might be a good monitor for you. Personally I hate this 3d gimmick so I avoid these like the plague. I am very happy with my 30" S-IPS panel.

Personally I think the Dell S-IPS monitors are the best on the market, although Apple has an LED backlit 27" S-IPS monitor that is 27", 2560x1440, and it is also a very good monitor. There is a Dell 24" if you are on a budget, the U2410, which you can find on sale for under $500.

@nirwanaeathell What makes you think that you can't use the Apple monitor with your PC? You can with no problem, you just have to have a card with minidsiplay port like the AMD (ATI) cards or buy an adapter. The UltraSharp monitors are very good, I own a 3007wfp-hc and I would sooner cut off my left testicle than give it up.

@mygaffer Don't buy this monitor for 3D, buy it for its ability for TRUE 120hz. This thing is a monster when it comes to gaming, the best monitor you can buy hands down at this point in time for gaming (well PC gaming, you can't get 120hz through HDMI, so Xbox/PS3 is out).
It has an amazing TN panel in it. No other TN panel on ANY monitor beats this. Sure, IPS panels beat this (S-IPS that is, not E-IPS, it's about on par with E-IPS).

@TheJuanpis15 When you want 120 hz its best to use DVI. HDMI has some issues with the amount of hertz its outputs. Using a DVI will make it easier on yourself and it can push out all 120 hz.
hm that was kinda pathetic, used to actually like this guys reviews but this is just nothing but praise, might wanna show some of the downsides to this monitor, such as the mirror finish wich makes this pretty much unusable in daylight etc.

I bought the 750 model. it totally sucked. It automatically changed resolutions on the fly as you boot up the computer. Using v-sync when 3D gaming or gaming normally, it reverted to 24 fps. Worst possible monitor for gaming. In fullscreen, it ran nearly every game at 1080pX24hz and window mode worked at 1080pX60hz, lol... If the game allowed the refresh rate to be selected it was ok. Or have to create custom 1920x1079x60hz and use that resolution in games. Maybe this 950 version is better.
Yes I know its only $700 but any saved amount of money even 250 would be good. Also i m waiting for same type of monitor to be wall mountable/ or on a stand for 3D Vision
@RxTTGG obviosly it depends on your budget... sure you wont get a better screen than this, but is it worth your money? did you notice the pricepoint???
@RxTTGG with the "on the fly 3d conversion" your screen is basically guessing which part of the content to display in the foreground and which in the background. it works pretty well but not as good as a real 3d signal. now, this screen is awesome in to ways. you can use the conversion to play ps3 or 360 in 3d AND you can connect it to a nvidia 3d vision GPU and have the real 3d signal when using your pc.
if you have the money you really cant go wrong with this screen. (but do you need it)
@RxTTGG Well first off price does matter, since this just recently came out its price is high and well crazy..I'd wait a year or two, not only for the fact that if any problems show up, they'll get fixed in the revision. @NCIXcom How does this screen get it's Z-axis information needed to perfom the 2d>3d conversion? Especially with youtube videos, since 2d youtube videos dont have Z-axis info. And with games, is it a driver thing? Or does it do "fake" 3D. What im trying to say is : The screen is tricking you into thinking you are watching 3d by guestimating what is in front and what isnt, because it doesnt actually know, right? Theres no way it could get real z-axis/3d info...
This is the monitor I am keeping an eye out. 120hz, 3D, vibrant colors, cheap! With a little color calibration (Spyder2 colorimeter) I can use this for work and gaming.

hm that was kinda pathetic, used to actually like this guys reviews but this is just nothing but praise, might wanna show some of the downsides to this monitor, such as the mirror finish wich makes this pretty much unusable in daylight etc.

I should have maybe opted for this 950 model. I'm curious about the Acer 27" 3D monitor, but I think I'll wait for Asus to release their 27". Excellent videos as always, cheers.

I bought the 750 model. it totally sucked. It automatically changed resolutions on the fly as you boot up the computer. Using v-sync when 3D gaming or gaming normally, it reverted to 24 fps. Worst possible monitor for gaming. In fullscreen, it ran nearly every game at 1080pX24hz and window mode worked at 1080pX60hz, lol... If the game allowed the refresh rate to be selected it was ok. Or have to create custom 1920x1079x60hz and use that resolution in games. Maybe this 950 version is better.

@RxTTGG with the "on the fly 3d conversion" your screen is basically guessing which part of the content to display in the foreground and which in the background. it works pretty well but not as good as a real 3d signal. now, this screen is awesome in to ways. you can use the conversion to play ps3 or 360 in 3d AND you can connect it to a nvidia 3d vision GPU and have the real 3d signal when using your pc.
if you have the money you really cant go wrong with this screen. (but do you need it)

@RxTTGG Well first off price does matter, since this just recently came out its price is high and well crazy..I'd wait a year or two, not only for the fact that if any problems show up, they'll get fixed in the revision. But mostly because over time the price will go down. Don't get me wrong the thing is awesome, great value, but if waiting a year saves me $1000 ill take the wait.

Linus set them up in Eyefinity!!! Will one pair of glasses work on 3 monitors at once even in 2d-3d mode? 3d Eyefinity with one pair of glasses , 3d rendering done via monitor processor, leaving the gpu to push out great graphics... now thats what i've been looking for.

hey Linus i was thinking of getting this monitor now at your site NCIXUS you have the 27 inch without tv Tuner for 680 while other have the 27 inch model for 730 now what i want to ask is will yours come with the glasses and i have a Radeon 6970 and you said this was compatible with HD 3D so how would i hook that up....would i use the DVI output on my video card because DVI and support 120hz and will i need to reinstall drivers and such to use HD 3D please reply whenever you can

@NCIXcom How does this screen get it's Z-axis information needed to perfom the 2d>3d conversion? Especially with youtube videos, since 2d youtube videos dont have Z-axis info. And with games, is it a driver thing? Or does it do "fake" 3D. What im trying to say is : The screen is tricking you into thinking you are watching 3d by guestimating what is in front and what isnt, because it doesnt actually know, right? Theres no way it could get real z-axis/3d info...

This is the monitor I am keeping an eye out. 120hz, 3D, vibrant colors, cheap! With a little color calibration (Spyder2 colorimeter) I can use this for work and gaming.
