  • WH-at. Haha.

  • Wouldn't that "before doing that we will knit one" be the same as k1s1, yo, psso?

  • awesome vid, although i was looking for a video that described what they mean when they say B & T loosely. Could you please explain that?

  • thank u so much i was searching this pattern long time and its so easy to knit ......u rock

  • Would it be possible to see the finished scarf up close to see how the pattern looks like after finishing? Thank you!

  • Awesome vid. If you are a newbie knitter like me there is some great content at at ebeginnersknitting (.) com

  • Alison: I love this video. You explain it so well. I just started knitting.

How can I get this paticular pattern??I have been playing this over

and over till I got it. I find its difficult to read patterns by myself. Maybe

because I am old. Thank you so much for sharing.

  • Thank you!

Seriously, it's September 1st and as of August 1st (2010) I did not know how to knit and thanks to the wonderful people, like yourself, I am now knitting!!

Written and drawn examples didn't do it- had it not been for my ability to WATCH you and others do such things, I probably would still not be addicted to this new hobby!

    *sigh* Thank you!

p.s. Someone else did mention that it would be helpful to see the written instructions you were reading from, and I totally agree!

  • When knitting in the round, in any pattern, you only knit between the asterisks.

  • @iPoohHoney Knit into front and into back of stitch.

  • Hi, What luck! I have been trying to figure out this herringbone pattern, and here you are doing it ;^) Is it possible for you to tell me how to do this in the round? Would I leave off the K1's at the beginning and end of row 1 or ???

and how to do the row 2 ? Any advice would help. In fact, converting patterns from flat/straight stitching to in-the-round would be a HUGE help!

  • i still do not understand the meaning of asterics...sorry can someone help me out please? I am sure that most of the users understood you. but since English is not my mother tongue I need more explanation ,,,with pears and apples please lol

  • I enjoyed the demo of reading the pattern, but would have been nice to get a link to the pattern that was being used.

  • I love crocheting and I've decided I'M GOING TO LEARN TO KNIT ALSO!!! And this will be GREAT FOR ME!!!!

  • Awesome help... THANKS!

  • um.. i was reading a knitting paTTERN, I GOT THE FIRST ROW, THen the second row said knit row 2 and all WS rows, Ws stands for wrong side, but that doesn't make sense, please help me.

  • It means the inside of the item you are knitting. Like say you are knitting the purse and it says to knit row 2 on the Wrong side. It means you should knit the back part of it or the part that won't show when finished.

  • thank you so much, it makes sence

  • No problem :)

  • Thank you this is a great help.

  • SUPER

  • its interesting when you are learning how to knit

  • Apparently you do, you're on the vid aren't you? And knitting is VERY relaxing. its good to unwind without needing the tv, a video game, or your palm pilot on every fucking second. It also gives you a sense of accomplishment when you are finished with the scarf, sweater, poncho, children's clothes, ect. I think its cool!

  • I don't remember what I said in my comment it's been thumbs downed so much it doesn't show up. So...Sorry?
