  • what a hoot...tremendous southern rock at its best. Remember the days when George(the singer) played for Basement Wall..Came to Lake Charles often to play at the puppy pen..the lighthouse..great times..seems like it was yesterday...

  • Myself and Charlie Barbour had a big dance hall called Charlie Browns in Lake Charles, La. in 1970 or 71 we booked Pot Liquor, ZZ top, from Texas and another great Baton Rouge group Swamp Fox featuring award winning singer songwriter Becky Hobbs Back before any of them hit the charts. There has always been a lot of great music in that corner of the world...

  • Saw them around 70 at Seton Hall U, New Jersey. They opened up for The Byrds (Clarence White line-up). If not, then it was Ten Years After, the other band I saw at SHU. They were good.

  • i had won a contest on a radio station here in florida, and my winning prize was to pick an album from the hundreds of albums that were given to the radio station....i picked levee blues..had never heard of them, but when i put it on the stereo all i could say was WOW...played it for my brother and he was also amazed....great bluesey sound, after thirty years of havingthe album it still is one of my favorties!!

  • the guitarist, les miller. is a good friend of mine. he comes to baker music center where i work and just jams out with us.
