Yikes; this is one of those moments where some young 'musician' (in this case, the remixer) has a 'big idea' (in this case, remixing with little audible effort a popular old song into a new hit for money). Some other 'musican' with 'big ideas' did the same thing with Bowie's Sound And Vision, and Loving The Alien. But few people remember those remixes because they pale against the originals and are, simply, forgettable waves in the ocean of 'big ideas'.

@papoj1PVR It has nothing to do with chart success. Sure, Reed was rarely a chart-topping artist, but a great deal of his work is now highly respected and loved. Satellite Of Love happens to be one of his most popular, that was all I meant by 'hit'.

@Chard6 Watched Adventureland and they mentioned the original version. I remembered there was a dance mix that I hated but couldn't remember why I hated it so much. I remember now. Is that a good enough reason? I love this whole "well why are you watching it then?" shit on youtube, it's like a cover all response to any criticism. Except it doesn't cover all.
