I have a 1993 toyota pickup with 4WD and a 2750hp 2.4L naturally aspirated 4 cylinder that runs 3 second quarter miles at 700 miles per hour on pump gas, stock suspension, and street tires. Did I mention it had Vtec? Anyone want to race?

You're absolutely right. It amazes me how many people don't realize that an 8 cylinder engine with a 4.25" bore and 4" stroke = 425 cubic inches no matter what block it's run in... small block, big block, Ford, Chevy, Chrysler, Pontiac, or anything else. At this level, guys can and do spend 6 figures on engines and make decisions based on class rules, not factory cubic inch offerings. Facts are facts, math is math, and no one here is running these kinds of numbers. Why argue?
The true fastest small block is guy named Rick Santos of San Leandro CA. He doesn't race anymore because of the politics of the NHRA and the big budget guys crying about the fact that they could never beat him. He ran TA dragster back in the 90's. I am pretty sure his records still stand but haven't looked it up. You should check out his career, the guy was amazing and got blackballed out of the sport, a damn shame.
@2008Flyboy Yup, Santos used to run close to 240 MPH through the traps of the quarter during the 1990s. He would regularly have weight penalties added to his car to make it "fair". That was the most wicked small block I know and he did it all in Top Alcohol against BBs up to 531 CID.
gav1224 just to let you know, the corvette is a small block. i dont know if it was in 08 but in 09 in was and I'm pretty sure it was then. It was the only car i know of to run PX and be a small block..the driver is Gene Hector and has been in the 3:90s and 4:00s in XTF
Guys and gals... Anything under the standard bore spacing of 4.84 inches is in fact a small block. Remember, a BBC standard bore space is 4.84 inches, and beyond.
Chevy 454 is all big block. If this car was running a chevy small block, he would need the base to be a 400.
I ran limited modified drags and the requirement was small block base but could run nitrous, turbo, blower with any fuel and additional power adders such as nitrous.
