Uhh...is this for real? It seems like the most ridiculous pretext for a Saturday morning kid's cartoon I've seen in a loooong time. Unless, of course, it's purpose was to sell specially-made teddy bears (not possible until Ronnie Ray-Gun pushed it through in 1980, I think it was).

In superted's dream, When he is made they find something wrong with him and throw him away like a piece of rubbish into an old dark storeroom, as in the episode. "Spotty to the rescue" Superted waits for spotty to arrive but instead texas pete does. If i made Thomas intro-Superted style like jivio, i'd use gordon as superted, harold as spotty and captain mildred from charlie chalk as mother nature.
