  • What about PRK? How does an eye heals after PRK?

  • @Orbitel1 PRK carries same risks except for flap complications. Surgeons use a toxic substance, mitomycin-C (MMC), when performing PRK to prevent haze, which has been linked to long-term adverse effects. Ophthalmologists speculate that permanent destruction of Bowman's membrane during PRK may lead to delayed problems. Bowman's is a protective barrier between the environment and the corneal stroma. Haze, dry eyes, night vision problems, and regression are the most common complaints after PRK.

  • WOW!! Did I mention that JOSEPH KIERNAN OF PREMIER EYE CARE AND SURGERY conveniently avoiding mentioning this before he ended the happy life that I knew. STAY AWAY FROM THAT SOCIOPATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
