I bought this game right after i beat bayonetta twice. I love the DMC series and hence why i got bayonetta first. Darksiders sounded great but, the ridiculous puzzles and getting weapons and then rarely being used/very lame combos are what made it different. Maybe im a fan of DMC more but, im just putting that out there. I wasn't aware of the puzzles and such beforehand and didn't enjoy it. Getting Red faction:Guerilla for free with Darksiders was FUCKING AWSOME. that game rocked.

IMO Castlevania Lord Of Shadows trumphs all these games in one swift whip move, sort of speak.Really, that game's sense of style, graphics, story, fludity of combat/movement and button configuration makes it the only real "contender" to GOW 3.Hell, it may even win by a "technical" decision.

Please look at the release date for this game, and the realease date to Lord of Shadows. Lord of shadows, has had alot, and I mean ALOT of time to polish and create the game. Darksiders, was Vigils first PEAKED game. With a sequal comming out in 2-3 years. Research my friend.

Awesome game! Can't wait for Darksiders 2, I need to know how the story continues!!! Not many games accomplish that.

Perfect mix between action packed carnage, rewarding puzzle solving (especially the beam puzzles later in the game are very good designed i think), and a nice storyline that keeps you interested.

Only bad thing - when i finished lvling my weapon and got the abyssal armor the game was already finished :( Giev Darksiders 2!

9 out of 10!? Maybe for the xbox. They should make that clear. This is not the sort of game you buy a decent PC for. Mediocre graphics (no DX11 etc at all) glitchy gameplay. Really dumb AI on some enemies, short and very linear. With many enemies if you go to a certain spot they will go into a cycle of just walking back and forth on their path, rinse and repeat endlessly. Really medicore game. Story element and characters are ok but definately one aimed squarely at the kids.

Really fun game. I love how there are so many weapons and abilities, that you can really customize how YOU want to play, and not really be punished for it. If you want to be a ranged guy, only using your sword to get back into range, you can do that.

Great game. And I have not see any of these graphical issues on the Xbox 360 at all. The so called "Frame Rate drops" only happens for a split second, nothing that interrupts game play.

@SATG87 graphics are also meant for 12 year olds because only 12 year olds get off on over sized swords and weapons in general, over sized environments and creatures. The look of the game is clearly ripped off from Word of Warcraft (a game who's populated mostly by nerds and 12 year olds btw), gameplay was ripped off from God of War (badly) and puzzles from LOZ. Puzzles where enjoyable, combat sucked, and graphics sucked. Story was ok. Game is mostly piss easy. I beat it in 5 hours game time.

@Collector2006 I guess im not hardcore enough... but im 26 and i love oversized glowing swords :) And i also love the cartoon style especially when a game is as violent as Darksiders. Thats very individual either you like it or hate it..

It was a little too easy though especially on bossfights, but anyway it took me 15 hours to complete it which is a very ok. Of course i wanted to get as much stuff as possible including abyssal armor etc. That took quite some time.

 I see that their are a few different things you need to collect (Soldier, Champion, Overlord Artifacts, Lifestone, and Wrathshards) So is the world kind of like open ended, or can go back to each chapter or level for anything i missed? Or do i need to collect X/X Shards on that Chapter before i finish it?
