Yeah it did. I have an 87 Monte SS with a big cam and it does the same thing, of course mine isn't computer controlled, you'd think a new tune on a EFI car would prevent that from happening....guess his tune isn't perfect yet.

and you can always tell the difference by listening to it. upgraded cams almost always sound rough and make the idling uneven.

Not all aftermarket cams will idle rough; however, a high lift cam with a lot of overlap, suitable for racing that's designed to make big horsepower high in the RPM band will often have a wicked lope and possibly have trouble idling/poor low RPM performance. Sometimes the tradeoff is worth it.

Basically the Camshaft has a different Profile than that of the stock Camshaft. This basically adjusts the timing of the Valves. That's why at an Idle the car is usually 'flopping', which is awesome.

g5x1 is a 228/232 112lsa with 4 degrees advance ground in. I have the same cam, except only 2 degrees ground in and the intake lobe is a comp cams lsk lobe instead of an xe-r.
