  • This video is one of those things that makes me thankful for my father being hard on me as a kid. He shaped me into the man I am today because he was a true Father Force.

  • I'm glad there are guys like Akbar, tellin it like it is.. Also, black men need to raise and enjoy their sons. What i see, even when a black man is in the home, is a guy who is a 'little too harsh', or too loose..Black dads, if they have time, could be scoutmasters in the BSA once in a while and have positive masculine pursuits with their sons and show neighborhood sons how to build a treehouse (if there are trees) or pitch a tent. etc.

  • @49jubilee I love it also when men teach their sons how to use tools, and work on cars, etc; they could teach their daughters too how to change a tire BUT you shouldn't have boys and girls compete against each other--so they BOTH could be strong

  • A beautiful message of raw and essential truth, I was raised by a man whom i did not know wasnt my natural father until ten yrs after his death. With all the quarrelsome issues between him and my mother, My true origin was never made a issue. That is a peculiar and extraordinary "Father force" that helped shape and preserve me in the killing fields of North America. Even,I as a father for a brief time before tragedy struck I aspired to emulate that same beautiful Father Force. Good Post.

  • @saalakhanREBORN

You touched me with this "Reply".

    Feels... good; thank you.

    I made this video as a tribute to my-Daddy, a ... (step-father?).

  • I agree that we as a ppl need to change. black women need to decide what they will accept and not accept and stick to it....like they say behind every good man is a good woman. some men NEED a woman's help, however soooo many women/girls never had a father to show them what they NEED, so the cycle repeats.....HOWEVER there is hope because u have wonderful black men like the Dr. that are doing the research and sharing the results with the ppl. All you have to do is utilize the info!!

  • I agree with Akbar....... We have so many deadbeat dad today, it really sad.

  • Thank you for posting.

  • Baba Na'im Akbar inspires African people to know who we are, where we originated from etc; he knows how to uplift our brothers to teach our boys how to men.

  • he speaks truth and inspiring wisdom. shockingly though, not all white people hate blacks. Not all blacks hate whites, not all fill in the blank_____ ...

  • Why are you infusing whites into this at all? Who cares is they "love" or "hate" us? Its the system that needs to be changed. You are far behind my friend.

  • Great to know you! Let's keep these black fathers in the home!

  • Hello get em brother

  • Great video and true words of wisdom

  • First, black men should try to be more father instead of baby daddies, they can't take the heat stay out the kitchen and leave the bun where is at.

  • true, but alot of good black men get passed up for the trouble makers. Go to any high school, and the good black kid, studying and respectfull can't get a single date, because these girls are too busy running after the dudes coming into class with their radios full volume, rapping along while drunk, stinking of weed. It's both ways, I love my sistahs, but unu love too much play the victim.

  • that's why we need to learn and teach ourselves how to love and respect a lot of black man run away because they probably thinking they don't no how to be fathers because they probably didn't have one, or they don't love theirselves so, how could they possibly love someone they helped bring into this world.

  • I agree 100%

  • We already know this, brownsugar. You are not adding anything to this equation. Since you are a black woman, tell us what a black woman needs to do to KEEP that man in the house.

  • ppl have to work together period take the word parents if you switch the word up its like partners. 2gether is the key. WE have to start from the root. knowledge is power since you are a black man and your mother is a black woman assumingly, maybe A MAN SHOULD OF TAUGHT HER WHAT TO ACCEPT FROM A MAN. IT'S A CYCLE THAT NEED TO STOP. I DONT WANT TO POINT/PLAY THE NAME GENDER GAME. IT TOOK MALE AND FEMALE TO BRING FORTH A LIFE THAT MALE AND FEMALE HAVE TO WORK IT OUT NOT JUST THE WOMAN MR. MAN.

  • lol your righ though.I have no love for negroes who dont take care of their kids.
