  • hahahaha the hand of god keeps pulling him back...LOL

  • Now that is truly clever.

  • haters gonna hat- oh shit i fell.

  • Man!!...just like real life..just when you start to get somewhere in life, "The Man" grabs you and pulls you back down!!

  • haha yeah right :P

  • Very interesting. Shame it doesn't have a feature built in to right itself. Also, the feet seem very impractical? Small and pointed = more pressure per cm = easier to fall over.

  • First things first.

  • When you train it long enough it learns how to walk on walls and water, too.

  • not in the same league as that robot Honda built, now thats a robot, walks downstairs/upstairs, runs like a human.

  • its like a baby learning to walk. nice

  • Aww, wickle wunbot.

  • Awesome!

  • anyone interested in this: read the book "Being There" from Andy Clark. very interesting book about AI, cognitive processes, body-mind-world, etc.

  • amazing. can it climb vertically and how itwalks downhill?

  • Haven't these people read Mary Shelley?! Or seen the movie I, Robot? We're all doomed! lol Nah this is cool. Bring on the SexBots!

  • Cool, but not that cool. It does, after all, have a bloody great rigid umbilical attached to it, and that, surely, is even better than a third leg !

  • its great. wonderful work. but its creepy too :|

  • Creepy, but in a good way! :)

  • I for one welcome our new adaptive bipedal overlords - as soon as they get a backbone that is.

  • umm if that wire attached to it can pick the robot up and move it back to point "A" I can only conclude that you have the ability to prevent it from falling backwards!

  • We will witness them being armed and send into wars like the one in Irak instead of having to send human beings and loosing lifes. We will also witness organized crime using robots to hold up banks and execute assasinations. The future of robotics wont all be fun and games.

  • Really interesting stuff - I'm interested to know if it was tested on a variety of gradients, including negatives (downhill).

  • Today, on the ministry of Silly Walks... first thing that came to mind.

  • Jajajjajaaj...

  • Brilliant observation! :)

  • Nice Work. This is exactly what I was trying to demonstrate with my project at university. I feel that this is the only way robots will become truly successful in random environment in which we live. Robots will have to learn from mistakes just like we do. You can read my report on my website (rmcybernetics dot com) under projects, diy devices, robot (MIRC).
