Our tax $s are at work in many ways. When lower income moms formula feed, our tax dollars pay for formula, but nursing is free. When those same babies get sick because they don't have immunity, we all pay for the Medicaid they need to get care. That could include care that is as expensive as treatment for childhood cancer, which (along with every other illness) is more prevalent in formula-fed babies. Also extra attention in school, since only breastfeeding provides optimal brain development.
I love this!!! If people feel more comfortable about breastfeeding after seeing this, maybe more moms would breastfeed or even publicly breastfeed and not worry about the looks or remarks. I love this video!!!

I'm a mom of 5 and breastfed all of them (I'm actually still breastfeeding my 3 month old). I thought the video was great. They should have joked about the stretchmarks and nursing in public. Check out my solution to "overexposure" while nursing---Modest Middles Nursing Tank Tops/ Undershirts.
@SacBookMom Actually, if a certain set of rules are followed (all baby's sucking needs met at the breast, frequent suckling, baby under six months old, no periods yet) the contraceptive efficiency of lactational amenorrhea is over 98%. That's comparable to birth control pills. --{-@ Of course you're right, breastfeeding alone without taking all those rules into account isn't a safe method of avoiding pregnancy.
SO glad I set the coffee down before watching this or I would have sprayed it out my nose all over my sleeping newborn in my lap! I think I *NEED* a (crop-layer nursing accessible) t-shirt with "IF YOU AIN'T GONNA BREASTFEED TAKE YO BROKE ASS HOME" printed across the boobs.

could have been put to better use. This made breast feeding look repulsive, half
naked men running around in diapers. Why didn't you bring babies out and dance
