what does it mean when your concealer looks orange?

@23HugsNKisses Under eye circles tend to have a blue tint to them, if you look on the color wheel orange and blue are across from each other, therefore orange cancels out blue and vice versa, which enhances the amount concealed, and looks much more natural. (:

anyway i checked with bobbi brown and they said it was too dark for me. like when your foundation is too dark it looks orange on your skin.

im using the eve pearl salmon concealer and its just awful.

@Alanoud7 you should use a slightly lighter one, but if you use a colour corrector first, like the Bobbi Brown one she uses in this video, it should stop it from looking ashy and grey :)

@xoMiSsBxo using a lighter concealer can do that, but if you use some darker eyeshadow under the lower lashes and then apply mascara on the lower lashes, it will widen up the under eye area again. So you'll have big eyes but without dark shadows :)

I've always found that that kind of under-eye concealing closes up eyes...that's what it does on me and anyone I see wearing it. Not that I don't conceal that way because I sometimes do. Lol anyway, you look pretty here as always :)

For reference what Mac shade foundation are you? I wam nc37 & was also given peach corrector from the Bobbi brown counter. I havent tried the concealer yet. Does it crease a lot to have the creamy corrector plus creamy concealer?

Also - I thought high beam was the benefit liquid highlighter. Didn't know it comes in a pencil!

@chr0nicbookworm Benefit does two pencil highlighters high brow and eyebright. High beam and moon beam are liquid highlighters. Hope that cleared it up for you.

Im NC45 and the lady at the bb counter gave me colour abit darker/orangey than my foundation. It doesnt brighten...but it does conceal, im abit confused now...am i supposed to have a lighter concealer?

@RoxyOhSo you are definitely supposed to go lighter!! if your an NC 45 i would go with a NW40 or even NW35 or mix the 2 of them.. yes, NW not NC. Im a NC 20 and going with the NW really helps to brighten under the eyes I have found that the pro long wear concealer is the best to blend under the eyes without moving my foundation around!
