Not sure if this is the movie I am looking for. As this picture progresses does the littlest angel present god with a humble wooden box filled with his most valued earthly possessions like a birds nest an robins egg? And feels ashamed when he compares his gift to the splendor of the other angels gifts of golden harps. I remember a christmas time cartoon that follows the above plot if anyone can help me find the right film name in the event that this one isnot the one.... thanks.
Thanks for sharing! I was searching for A Cosmic Christmas( my favorite Christmas cartoon when I was a kid) & I came across this one too. I now remember them being on the same vhs we had growing up :-)

fuck this movie, fuck this movie, fuck his movie. I fucking hate it, I hate everything about it! I fucking hate this goddamned movie! I hate it's twisted fucking view on an afterlife and hate it's flippant portrayal of concepts and ideas that have no place in a children's movie. Most of all I hate that it pretends to impart some kind of wisdom or moral to viewer! Seriously, fuck this movie.
my husband's mother read this story to him as a little boy, as he grew and had a family he read to his kids this story. Then in 85 we got together and he read this story to my kids which was 4 and 8 at the time. As time went on, he had gkids that he read this story to. last christmas my daughter and I read it in his Honor as it was the first Christmas without him, he was 69 yrs old when he past. So this story had been with him for many many yrs, may it continue on in his honor in the family.
The author of this story also wrote, "The Littlest Snowman". It is incorporated into the film, Christmas Fairy Tale(not really a Christmas film). As of now, you can watch it on Youtube or in the DVD collection, 150 Cartoon Favorites. There is also, of course, Disney's "The Small One", but that should be watched on Christmas.
I'm wondering whether this is the version we watched in elementary school in the 1960's. I've tried for years to find it, but it's been so long I'm not sure by the beginning whether this is it.
I am mostly sure that this is the film we used to watch...I had wondered where it was. I do have the children's book but would prefer to have this for myself. And yes, I have a box of treasured things under my bed and have so for 51 years.
Many thanks, indigoray7! This clip looked only vaguely familiar but then, I'm 54, so it's been quite a while for me also. I cried every year we watched it in elementary school, and would love to share it with my grown daughters. Thanks again for the confirmation!
