  • I'd forgotten how much I hated that Extra chewing gum ad, but I forget no longer!

  • MST3K Red Cross ads. Yep, just proof that these guys can make ANYTHING funny.

  • i liked that year. seems like the 90s took so long to be completed.

  • This was right before the quality of KFC went way downhill. I wonder what the Colonel would say about the Double Down.

If you had told me before that summer that the mad bomber movie starring Keanu Reeves would be much better than the one with Jeff Bridges...

I'm from Texas, and frankly, I could care less what picante sauce should taste like.

The DFW area had lots of Bennigan's. Most of them still sit empty.

I'm pretty sure Extra doesn't promote its cavity-fighting power anymore.

  • That Nestea tune totally stole the bassline from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, who stole it from Stevie Wonder. And MCI stole their image from Jim Jones.

  • Not sure if it's been mentioned elsewhere but that's Khrystyne Haje in the Extra commercial. She played "Simone" in "Head of the Class" series.

  • I think "Brad Edwards" was flagging down help to get out of the MCI crowd!

    NEW YORK CITY?!?! Epic!!!!!

Nick Nolte sure loved trouble this decade!

COOL MST3K ads there!!!! They were just about to start Season 6 in a couple weeks after taping this! Nothing wrong with Gypsy, although she would REALLY love to have been Mrs. Richard Basehart!

  • Kids in the Hall = Best sketch comedy ever. Nothing else comes close, nothing.

  • You'd get your ass lit up if you ordered a Zima in a metal bar. Although that particular one looks pretty lame.

To this day when some says "New York" I always answer back in a Texas twang, "New York City!?"

Only a quarter of the people get it anymore :-P

  • Zima reminds me of being 19-20 again.

  • The TV spot for "I Love Trouble" is good, but speaking as someone who's actually seen it, Disney must have marketed the movie really bad. It's a screwball comedy-mystery, not a straight-ahead thriller.

  • @BMTPTrailerCentral It came out six months after The Pelican Brief, so my guess is that Disney was hoping that people would think it was just like that movie.

  • man i've always wondered who thre Zima guy was..

  • My family and I was there when they blew up the truck and fell onto the police car on the movie set of blown away about that year. It was recored in the boston area. I still remember that.:)

  • Whenever i think of Bennigans, i immediately think of Butters.

  • @FSinWCR Me too!

  • New York City?

  • laura kightlinger was one of the main headwriters for "Will &Grace" she had a semi-recurring bit part as Nurse Sheila

  • is zima even still on the market?

  • They stopped selling it in the US last year, but it's still available in Japan.
