hi i have this laptop acer aspire 5920 ..i have a problem with the headphones .when i plugged the headphones i have no sound ..what i have to do pls help me

That really is a stripped down 5920. Usually get a minimum of the X4500MHD Intel Graphics. Then again, i have the G Version. T7300 processor Centrino. However, my centrino is more powerful. 8600m GS, could of had the GT version, 2GB Ram, 250gb Ram. Plays FEAR 3 so all good.

I have this since march 2008 good memory, the only thing that I don't like it the fan noise its get very hot , and this noise just comes out which is very annoying, since i had it for 2 years its starting to wear out the screen just freezes for like 2 min and comes back a lot of issues with the internet explorer...

good laptop but i've been in Portugal for 1 year with outside air temperatures between 20 and 45 degrees centrigrade in summer. it just doesn't cool. to start with, the fans kick in too late to make the heat disappear.

I've had mine a little over a year and have had no problems with it. It's my main computer and I can even game on it (with the graphics on the game turned down of course). Does the bluetooth work on it? Mine never finds the device. I wonder if the bluetooth only runs bluetooth headphones... hmmm....

good for you! mine sucks! dies after 4 months! its my secondary machine, no heavy applications on board. reseating the ram modules & harddrive did no help until i flash tha latest version of bios from acer & window 7 as OS. still has a little problem. wont restart. but normal boot up will do. argh!

i feel bad for this kid, hes running only 2g ddr2 667 mega hertz and only 120g hard drive. you can buy that exact laptop with those specs for around $1200 from the company or $600 from third party sites like tigerdirect but what i find funny is i got 4g of ram 320g hard drive and pretty much every eles upgraded as well. you can get that from acer for $1800 or from tigerdirect for only $800!! oh and its great for WOW just make sure drivers are up to date, trust me on that one.

Yeah, it runs WoW smoothly enough for me, however, if you're playing strenuous games such as Crysis, this laptop is terrible partly because it has a terrible Graphics card and small RAM, so if you do want to play strenuous games and you get this laptop I recommend you upgrade the Graphics card or RAM, preferably both.

hmm according to the video, the CPU speed is only 1,8 ghz. the graphic card is mobile intel r (who suscks buy the way) and in the description it´s 2 ghz and geforce 8600m gt? is there something i´m missing?

That's the one with the T5050 chip, it has a slightly slower chip speed (1.86Ghz I believe) but a bigger hard drive, I went for the one with the T5750 chip (2Ghz) it only has a 160Hdd but I like to get the fastest chip speed I can because you get longer between needing to upgrade.

Always get the best (highest) spec you can for the money, that way it will be able to deal with new software demands for longer, software gets more resource hungry every year and the better the spec you buy now the longer you will get before you have to replace the laptop with a new one just to keep up with the software demands.

I bought top spec last time and got three years out of my laptop, it still works fine but is slow now, so I'm keeping it for the donkey work only.

I got mine on the 22/08/08 from comet but I went for the one with the T5750 chip, 2ghz, 160hdd, 3gig of ram for £399, I also bought Norton to go with it so I ended up paying £428 all told, PC World had 5920's as well for £399 but with the lower spec T5050 chip but a larger 250Hdd, I decided that a faster chip was more important to me than a larger HDD.

Also got a nice laptop bag with a free micro mouse from Tesco for £10 !!.... Deal!!

The Slot next to the port of the local area conection is a port to conect the telephone line wich is pretty old for this times and very slow but some people needs it.

It only lights up red when it is being used (e.g. recording using a webcam on DV Wizard on Acer Arcade Deluxe)
