@wzsoccerplyr i have a new youtube account that i created for all the android stuff you can subscribe to that one. I try to keep that one more up to date. It also has the new installation process on there. youtube.com/ theworldofandroid
@guyana107 i have a new youtube account that i created for all the android stuff you can subscribe to that one. I try to keep that one more up to date. It also has the new installation process on there.
@eddie1823 ya i eventually got this all to work out. but now it seems like every theme i install even through ROM Manager, it messes my phone up and i have to do a SBF flash. so i just gave up on it all and just keep my root
Don't forget to run the sdk manager as administrator (right-click on the icon and select "run as administrator"). In my case, failure to do so prevented the manager from creating the appropriate directory for installing the platform-tools.
For anyone who is having problems getting the adb is not recognized error, it is probably because you have downloaded the R08 version. In this version Google removed ADB. Do a web search for ADB for AndroidSDK. Take those files and put them in the tools folder, and viola it will work.
hello i have a rooted htc evo and i want to install a custom splash screen however i have no clue what im doing i have daemon tools, adb manager, android sdk, and i am stuck with fastboot i have no clue why when i open fastboot it always closes as soon as it opens, plz help
I'm running Win7 64-bit and when I run the adb.exe even with XP SP3 compatibility and admin, it opens for a fraction of a second and closes itself out -_-
f.cking w7, I do EXCATLY as you said re: setting path and NOTHING happens... wtf can be causing it??? In fact no matter what path I'm adding nothing happens - I can't start any program using the path specified. Any ideas. Thx folks!

hi eddie1823, may i know how do you get MP5 certificate from the debug keystore? I was prompt by windows when i tried to open debug keystore. I have totally no idea how to open it. Please help me :( Thanks alot.
You are missing several steps in your tutorial. First, can you include a link to the daemon tools website?
After extracting the SDK, people need to run the SDK Setup PRIOR TO connecting their phone to the computer, and update/install the packages that will allow them to get the USB driver.
Finally, users need to Enable USB debugging in their phone's Application Settings. This will allow the computer to discover more than just a USB mass storage, but an android phone in addition.
@eddie1823 thanks alot dude your tut was really handy... but in the vid you said ;C:\android\tools but you need to edit the clip you added to the vid which is this ;C\android\tools you omitted :
showed me and when i type adb devices it is not listed and when i type adb shell device not connected when i connect my phone it doesnt give me the option to select where my drivers are it automatically installs the phone as a usb mass storage please help
i want to know how i can put the usb drivers to my phone because it never asked me about the drivers. i try to use adb it says device not found and when i try to run emulator it closes after starting up
hey i think i have the same problem as him. I am runing on vista. If i want to open the emulator it opens for 1 sec and then closes instantly. You never get to the image just the cmd window.

EroOtaku 1 year ago
For all those using R09 :
"The adb tool has moved to platform-tools/
If you don't see this directory in your SDK,
launch the SDK and AVD Manager (execute the android tool)
and install "Android SDK Platform-tools"
Please also update your PATH environment variable to
include the platform-tools/ directory, so you can
execute adb from any location."

For those who are trying to use adb.exe it won't work you have to use cmd and use adb then the command. Like adb devices or adb pull stuff like that
