Yes but it is how you use the weapon that determines what you are doing, I could hold a paintball gun and use it as a club, am I paintballing? no... But if I fill the hopper and shoot others then im paintballing whether it is in a professional manner or complete ameteur manner. Same applies here, we may not be doing it exactly right but our purpose was to just have fun and do some kendo.
I don't have a problem with you having fun, Shinais are fun to mess around. But what you are doing is not kendo. I say this becuase kendo have specific waza and hits. And even ni-to waza still follow the same guild lines. And what you are doing is not within those guild lines. Like I said earlier, I think it is fun on your sport, but if you call something kendo, you will have Kendoka (Like myself) coming in here and expecting stuff.
I used the term loosely, i meant more of a play around with it. I know its a martial art, my Youth leader is quite fond of martial arts but i just didnt know what else to eactly put instead of play
trying the niten ichi style is great but it should be a short sword and a long sword, not 2 long sword, and ur technique sux. Do practice more and i meant MORE!!

The one with the one stick is the only one close to Kendo, and we were just having some fun...we didnt play to the exact rules by any means and were just messing around. The guy in the yellow shirt knows how to do kendo and will teach us but this was put on by just us kids. We are kids....we had armor and sticks...we made the best of it.

The bogu's built to be hit by regulation strikes, and i don't think any of your strikes had correct form, lol.
Be safer next time, maybe use foam swords, and some better armor for just messin' around.
