As a kid this was the only earthworm Jim game I've ever played, and of course now I'm blinded by my nostalgia to like this game. It's too bad I never got to play the 2D games though.

I like the game i must say. You sholdn't compare them with the first two, you should look at the game as the game itself. I like the game very much, the camera sucks hard, but didn't the camera of Super Mario 64 suck too? And it also was a great game.

The 3D platformer fad ruined so many great 2D platformer franchises, this one definitely included. If only they put that extra console power into making an extra special 2D game it might have been alright. Well, it probably would not have sold as well because all the kiddies wanted 3D shit but it would still have been a far better game.

@ChronoTriggerFanDub I think he was just questioning what the significance of where and why the hamster was placed there. The original had hamsters you could ride and it was original. The 3D version just tried to cut and paste in a 3D world and it wasn't original at all or as fun.

I loved EWJ as a kid, though I never got my hands on the second game. When I rented this one, I was very excited and wound up EXTREMELY disappointed. I couldn't even beat Psycrow, it was a dreadful experience. I don't see how so many people can find this game passable. If someone found it entertaining, that's their deal, but I would recommend raising your standards if you did. It's logical for this game to suck, too. It got scrapped and restarted so many times it was never entirely finished.

fully agreed, as a big fan of the classic Earthworm Jim 1 & 2, Earthworm Jim 3D was an insult for the franchise and is not as fun as the other ones, i'm glad they didn't make more games like it!

Not getting into an argument about whether opinions can be wrong or not, you are objectively and provably wrong. The two blocks are exactly the same, but the ledge-grab doesn't activate for the second one.

And I'm far from the only person who doesn't like the game. You're perfectly entitled to your opinion, but I'm not wrong when I say I did not have fun playing it.

The pork boards are pretty tough, but with enough practice, you can eventually master them. And as far as the camera goes, you can adjust it with the Up-C button.

To be fair the camera can be zoomed out with ^C but it's still a nightmare a lot of the time and yes this is the first game I've ever seen where you can walk into it.

The game wasn't rushed, rather went through development hell but I think it looks great for the time; it is infuriatingly difficult nigh on impossible sometimes tho. Once you work out the way to tackle a level the thought of having to go back again for 100 marbles is enough to put you off although I am still playing it. Fab music 2

Some of the negative points can be resolved:

Camera being too close: One button is assigned to move the camera further away. Think it was the camera mode button

Bosses: Use the camera mode button I mentioned earlier and you'll see those missiles coming a lot sooner, giving you the time to time your dodge. As for your own missiles. Don't just fire them away. Make sure Jim is facing the boss and then fire. Using the radar can help your aiming.

Your other boss problem: If you think those 4 are already a pain, check out the final boss (Yea, it's not 4 bosses, but 5!). Still, the bosses aren't hard to beat. Just takes some time to know them and how to attack them. I beat the first 3 in a no damage run and the other 2 will follow soon. The last boss might be hard to do a no damage run on
