Yes, looks like that. I thought that something will happen after level 99, but when you reach that point, the counter stops and it seems you fight forever… till you are defeated.

On Atari you couldn't have this amazing ;-) sound effects and music at the same time. Music was played only during intro not during the game.

Cripes, people being elitist against kids in a frickin Atari karate game thread! I thought that was an adventure-game-fan thing....

The problem with new games isn't really graphics. The problem is movie envy. Old games let you play, because they don't have the hardware to entertain you non-interactively. New games periodically stop you so you can watch something instead of doing something. That's the problem. Graphical realism is overrated but harmless. Unskippable animation, though, is poison.

@Bananadine Graphical realism is overrated but harmless.I DONT THINK SO its called hypnotic symbolism, it also promotes negativity not just visually but emotionally too in games,movies,tv(programs),news papers but to name a few so wake up and dont be so naive.

games are what is known as fake experience as we all know life is about experience thats how we grow and learn.so you choose what kind of experienceses you want to have fake or real.

by the way, retro games are the best. its from back when gameplay mattered. nowadays in 95% of the "big name 3D games" it is all about graphics because the twitch gamer is a piece of cake to dupe into buying screenshots instead of gameplay. so again at bejosumitomo, enjoy wasting your time (and money) on merely graphics.

im in the gamedev scene, so i suppose people like you are required to make my wallet fat in the worst of times (just merely release screenshots and ive sold to you).

bejosumitomo, i can tell youre one of the younger twitch gamers. which is not a compliment, go back to your first person shooters.

Karate Champ is awesome and this one is beyond the one i played and enjoyed. its one of those games you dont have to play for 30 minutes straight to enjoy, you can play a few rounds in like... 5 minutes or less.

If you were smart enough to read, you would know that this game is from Atari 800XL an 8bit computer if you know what it is.

This game is probably older than you so youre unable to understand how cool it is.

There was this bug that permitted you to pass all belts with only one move xDD

Still... the "voices" just made feel like king of the world and say... "I OWN THE BEST GAMING PLATFORM IN THE WORLD!!"
