one of the most epic battle themes ever. The intensity of it all...i guess it's a good thing that this was saved for the last boss. Imagine fighting to this for every battle....you would think you might die any moment just fighting a flan or a dingo. As i said, intense!!

in my opinion the whole final showdown in FFX(from Jecht to Yu Yevon) is far more intense then the final showdown in FF7 because, first off you're facing the main character's father who only fights because he's forced to and after which you have to fight all the summons, your companions) which you have fought hard for and with, only then do you get to fight the heart of Sin.

I don't think it's intense at all, especially since the whole fight can be resolved in one round of overdrives. Weakest final boss, imo.

Emotionally charged, yes. Challenging... Hell, Yu Yevon wasn't a boss, he was an interactive cutscene.

I hated doing this part of the game. I really hated having to kill Bahamut (Top fave Aeon), Ixion, Valefore, and Shiva. D: The Magus Sisters, Yojimbo, and Anima I never cared much about.

It was really upsetting to fight them all especially my first run through I beefed the crap outta yuna to make me aeons strong, and upped their individual stats when I could. Getting OHKO'd by my own anima wasn't fun. haha

@IceQueen975 Shiva was always one of my preferred aeons (next to Ixion). But I must always save Valefor for the end because she was my first aeon. The very first you see and have your very first fight with. It hurts me to kill Valefor at the end.

This was the hardest thing for me to do in the game. Not because my aeons were overpowered or anything but because I didn't want to destroy them. Heck, I went backwards on the list and used my other aeons to fight simply because it would be my last chance to use them. When I got up to Valefor I simply cried as I shot it down. ;_; Then Yu Yevon showed up...and I thoroughly enjoyed avenging them....

I remember that I cried, the first time I played that part. to kill the aeons, that were my comrades and partners during the game, I leveled them, gave them names, had victorious moments with them when a strong opponent was beaten and then I had to kill them. I might be overemotional, acting like a little kid with this, but I felt so sorry for them, also seeing Yunas painful expression everytime one aeon was defeated...I just don't like that part, even today it still makes me sad...

I remember this fight, i think I took out my tougher aeons first by using Overdrives of other aeons lol, I think I had all of them, there are the main story ones and then the extra three right? if so then I had them all :)

I got raped by Bahamut fighting this battle first time. I had him maxed, and i mean MAXED. He was soaking up more pain than i could deal and every hit was a KO hit...

It didn't help that I was crying throughout that battle. :'(

@awsomeyoshi2 You can die but your characters are Auto-Life-d every time so there's no Game Over. And since every time he used Impulse it dealt 99999 damage, my team kept going down each time. It took a VERY long time to beat him since his speed was so high he'd attack several times before I could attack him myself.

If you have snsor on your weapons when fighting the aeons,they say things like,Sandy says'Dont cry',others call out for their misery to end.I hated fighting my belovedd Valefor, i used him most out of all aeons,even over Behemut and even the Magus Sisters, Valefor was MY main summon, i shed atear when i had to do it >;(
