Ike is the strongest "main" character in the FE universe. Fuck Marth he's too soft, Ike is what a man should be, reckless, strong, careful yet care taking for his friends.
I find it sad in Brawl how Ike, who in Endgame can easily slaughter dozens of enemies that would be a match for a Link, Meta Knight, or anyone else individually, gets hurt when hit by a mere sword glance. Then again, if Ike is as powerful in Brawl as in Endgame, he would be able to be able to take on almost the entire Brawl crew with ease in a Fire Emblem battle mode. Everyone would be Tier 2/1, except for Snake, who would be like Volke, and Marth, who would be a very strong lvl 20 swordmaster.
@Karel5656 You're underestimating what level some guys would be,. You're telling me you honestly think Mario or Bowser are Tier 2 at best with all they've been through over the years? What's your reasoning for this?
@Bloodlyshiva Although I am willing to admit that most Brawl characters are decent fighters, they are primarily used to fighting individual strong opponents. Not multiple enemies, one after another without healing, who are well-trained, and backed by powerful countries/people. My point is that there is a difference from a civilian who occasionally fights extremely powerful/skilled enemies and a soldier who sometimes has to fight dozens of enemies who are considered elite by MILITARY standards.
It has some to do with Ike from Radiant Dawn because of the link the song's debut (the fort battle) has with its similar predecessor in Path of Radiance - only this time, it's Ike commanding the defenses instead of Greil.
As for having to do with Ike, Nintendo obviously assigns it to him in Brawl, when he makes his grand entrance by offing an enemy neither Marth nor Meta Knight could lay a scratch on.
@Orim86 I don't get why they added Meta Knight to a a group of 2 awesome characters. They just spoiled it. What's a Kirby Character have to with two epic Fire Emblem characters other than wielding swords? Marth could have well challenged Sonic. LOL Super Speed! : P And Ike let's say his Great Aether is way too awesome. : )
If I remember I'm not sure on this, But I think It's because The time this plays is when you're Ike and you're charging at Michah at the end of part III
@JadenLaidig Well, in the game itself is also used as Ike's leit motiv. For example, you can listen to it in the extended intro, when Ike appears fighting the Black Knight.
When I heard this on the river crossing chapter...
Too much epicness to put in into words

Does anyone know if they will be making a sequel to Radiant Dawn?
Gpowerapsta 1 year ago
this first played in 3-4, which is weird, cause that was a defeat for ike.
it also played in 3-7, and the 3rd and last time was 3-Endgame, the clash of two virtues.

Last I checked, this song had nothing to do with Ike.
DanielSmith604 3 years ago
Agreed, this song is to epic to be a theme for any character, even ike.

@JadenLaidig
It's the theme that plays for the majority of the Greil Mercenaries' chapters
