I am one of those retired persons in the video. The 403B and 401Ks of several hundred thousand dollars all of a sudden dropped by 50% a while back. Ain't that sweet. You can now pay the bank rent for your house by increasing your payments and gaining a couple of years or refinance.Most will get a home equity to buy the newest big truck or SUV.We used to call that second mortgages for those down and out.But we just buy and buy and watch all those sports and TV as we are being led along.
I'm a Biomedical Scientist and I never got taught a theory as an absolute. We had scientific philosophy classes and journal clubs especially to be taught to question all scientific findings.

The global warming discussion skirts the real issue. There have been enormous changes to the global average temperature over the millenia caused by sun spots and other natural phenomena. The real intent is to tie more recent changes to those "evil corporations". The purpose being, to regulate and control freedom and capitalism.

- No school teaches WWI as a good thing, but Wilson is considered good for creating the League of Nations
- the 1920 depression was the result of transition from war time to peace time, there wasn't enough time for them to do anything
- Hoover didn't cause the depression, he just didn't do anything to stop it
- Unemployment was steadily falling under the New Deal
- Wilson and FDR lead the nation into war without UN approval!?

First the list you mentioned has been debunked a long time ago and (even if it was true) would represent a small percentage of the millions of scientists that exist.
The 98% came out of a 2010 PNAS study.

Used to believe in anthropogenic Climate Change, but not anymore - the science is completely fraudulent. Hockey stick - FAKE. Temperature CO2 correlation - CO2 LAGS temperature and cannot cause an increase. CO2 vs H2O vapor - H2O more than 500 times the effect of CO2 (10 times more potent and 1000s of times quantity). AGW proponents don't use real arguments - it's always ad hominem - denialists this and that - I'm open to real debate, but this isn't it.

Ironic in that attempting to debunk what they consider mistruths taught by scholars, they bring up the canard that people in the 1400s thought the world was flat. They didn't. That's a myth made up by Washington Irving. Columbus didn't have to prove to Isabella that that world was round, he had to prove that the world was small, as it was known (roughly) how far China was going west, and it was assumed he would run out of drinking water first.

@MistaFrista Actually it does. It speaks to how poorly researched and thought out this vid is. It's chock-full of "truthiness," stuff that sounds right until you l take a closer look. Like for instance, the implication that scientists used to all believe in global colling and now they all believe in global warming, hence we can ignore them on both. Global cooling was was a media phenomenon in the 1970s, but it was never remotely scientific consensus like warming is. The whole vid is like that.

The global warming discussion skirts the real issue. There have been enormous changes to the global average temperature over the millenia caused by sun spots and other natural phenomena. The real intent is to tie more recent changes to those "evil corporations". The purpose being, to regulate and control freedom and capitalism.

My understanding is that your room and board in the military is free these days and on top of that military people get an annual salary to sock away. So please explain to me if you are the exception in this regard and if indeed you "paid into the system" for 25 years. Even so, how is it that it is logical that you get a full pension and full monetary monthly benefits in perpetuity at 40 years old.?

He makes a lot of good points especially about the Great Depression. Much, maybe most of FDR's drop in unemployment was simply debt-financed govt jobs. Any govt could go in debt huge amounts and hire all the unemployed, but that doesn't solve anything. Including all these govt jobs added, the unemployment rate was still 18% in 1938, the 6th year of FDR.
His point on the UN, wars and Demo presidents is false, there was no UN for Wilson and FDR, and Truman DID get UN approval for Korea.

I don't recall text books calling Woodrow Wilson the greatest president. He was seen more as a highly idealistic individual that ended up to be a more tragic figure than a triumphant figure.
