  • Do not use full flaps when your in crosswind

  • you confusing windshear with crosswind. windshear is a sudden change in wind speed and direction over a short distance. in the worst case this can cause the aircraft to drop or stall and if close to the ground can meet the ground very hard.

  • this isn't windshear noob

    it's crosswind -__-

  • Hahahah video games are just a similie

  • terrible approach.

  • Why do you people put video of your stupid simulator games on here? This shit is a waste of time!

  • Watch the ground in relation to the plane, you will see the occasional sideslip as the plane bulls it's way against the headwind.

Downdrafts can occur directly on the plane, ahead of it, behind it, to one side or the other, they can be 30 mph or 160 mph relative

And when a downdraft hits the ground, the air has nowhere to go but outwards, in all directions, like ripples on water.

  • Looked more like crosswind.

  • thats a crosswind landing, not perfect, but u acceptable, no windshear to be seen tho.

  • bad landing, not on the glide slope, not on the runway heading...

  • @csorsz777 I don't know why you, but I usually haven't runway heading during cross wind landing.:) Maybe runway track is better to say...

  • awasome landing!!

  • Where is the windshear?

I think that the ocurred is strong crosswind only ..

  • The windshear was present just hard to distinguish.

  • I didn't see any windshear

  • sorry but where was the wind shear ???

  • May be, because you cannot see wind... Geniuses!

  • ahah and this is a windshear? Go to study theory!!!

  • ahahaha NO, its not a windshear. There is no shear.... AT ALL. its just a steady crosswind. Go back to school or somthing.

  • both of you can't tell if it's wind shear without looking at his instruments. Microburst may mean a sudden loss of altitude for the aircraft -for all you know this dude may have been losing altitude fast. by the way, you can't simulate microbursts in FS(from the looks of this)

  • Where's the windshear? I don't think so...You guys really don't know what windshear is...

  • I don't wan't to be mean but you should be over the centerline as you set up your crab angle and then you use rudder to straighten it out over the runway.

  • hmmm ...i didnt see any windshear..Windshear is when there is a sudden change in wind direction or speed. So if your on approach with a 20 knot headwind which suddenly turns into a 5 knot headwind, that would be called windshear. As a result the is a sudden loss in lift bc of less airflow over wing. The corrective measure is simply to add or reduce power.

  • You don't have to be such a dick... he probably just meant crosswind.

  • whoops...sorry ...didn't mean to be a dick...just explaining things :)

  • who cares he should kno wat hes saying so djscoo i honestly think your the dick here

  • Ok, could everyone just stop being dicks and enjoy these films and FSX it self... ;)

  • nah i like taling about dicks gives me a funny feeling inside my tummy

  • no wind shear, is the dramatic change in (not much in speed change) direction. In most cases, say the wind is going up and all the sudden the wind is going down hard. A crash happened due to this, delta flight 191 was on approach when struck by it. Its hard to feel or see cause it happens a little up in the air. You were close though.
