  • Great dog... one of my favorite breeds...

  • Do I really have to do my homework???

  • @petguineapigs0987654 yeah mate you really do,They are very powerfull dog's,They fear nothing & they can be stubborn as hell,I've trained all of my families dog's from springers to akitas & upto now my 16 month old rottie has been the hardest work but if you put the time and do it right in you'll have a lovery dog.

you can get some really good books about rotties & they cover everything from feeding to training,i've found mine invaluble (you get them in most pet shops)

    Hope this helps.

  • I'm getting a australian shepard lab mix puppy, some of the litter look like aussies, but this one looks EXACTLY like one of these, like, every damn splotch. I suppose going to the vet is the only way to determine the breed, but if you don't want an aggressive dog like this, but want the look, try getting that certain mix.

  • I have a Rottweiler that's 2 years old and a German shepherd that's 3 years old my German shepherd is bigger

  • I HATEEEEEE it when people automaticly think Rottweilers are cold-blooded killers. They can be killers but if you train them right they are the SWEETEST dogs ever! And they're so smart! I have one myself, she is the sweetest dog I ever had. And I had another Rott a few years ago (R.I.P, Died from Canser :'() Him and Jade are the smartest, sweetest, funniest dogs I ever had. Rottweilers are amazingly epic dogs :'D

  • 117 People has been bitten by a rottweiler.

  • Ive really wanted a Rotty for a long time since childhood but my parents wouldnt allow it. Now, years later, i have my own house and plenty of room and I'm thinking of getting one. Any tips on where to go to read up on Rotty training?

PS Do u take the dog to a vet to get it's tail docked or is there like a specialist?

  • band in some towns! common people why dont we just go back to sending black people to the back of the bus. racism is racism

  • Stories you read about rottweilers and kids put me off them :L

  • Rottwilers suck :(

  • @honeybear0022 so does your spelling :D

  • @honeybear0022 Fuck you.

  • German shepherd better

  • Ugly dogs

  • @babyblue6453 what happened shitface one of these bit you?

  • @babyblue6453 tough looking dogs. a look that says they dont need your aproval.

  • Rots love to be your number one and your only one; my Rot, Sophia is jealous of every dog that comes near me, Love Rots.

  • i cant wait to get my own one..

  • @XXXSKIANTOSXXX I just got one 2 months ago and she is just the best dog. She learns so quickly it unbelievable! completely devoted to me and our animals and property! You will be very happy with yours, (if you get it trained, which doesn't take long). My rottie learned her name in the first 2 days and learned sit and lay down in 4 days. Super intelligent. And its not afraid of anything

  • Do they drool?

  • @SkippyHorseLover My rottweiler doesent drool that much, its most after he drinks or chew on something jummy :-)

  • @SkippyHorseLover not that i know of! :P

  • My friends have a rottweiler and it's the friendliest creature I've ever seen. Loves hugs and kisses and really can't live without attention

  • i like the rottweiler ,,because it has the strongest bite rate in the pet dog breeds.....

  • Comment removed

  • My rottie has a black snout? Is this normal or is it against breed standard or is this unheard of? It has some tan mixed in with black on its muzzle but not much, its mostly black, you'd have to look close to see the tan on its snout. The closest Tan gets to its mouth is on her cheeks and under her bottom jaw. Everything else is perfect though like its chest and legs and tail. Please reply!!!!!

  • This video isn't exactly promotional of the breed. It keeps emphasizing their killing ability :\ poor rotts

  • I want to get one when I grow up.

  • I know a women here who let it go lose and its a wonderful dog. But my friend who has one too can't handle his dog. He has had a dog for many years but can't handle his own puppy. I'm afraid he has now probably abandon it. What a dumbass.

  • @MrCalibraboy

    Thanks mate

  • Ugly dogs

  • German shdpherd better

  • are rottweiler dangerous ?ok i dont give a shit about strangers they can EAT strangers but would they ever attack me ? i mean their owner ? :D i think looks really cool! :'O

  • @thumsupformyusername I had a rottweiler for 4 years and : no, they wont attack their owner. BUT, he will attack everyone that doesen't know very well. For exemple :he will atack a friend comming to my house once a month , but wont atack my uncle that is coming once a week cause he knows him. Also, so you can know: when they are young, like...in the first 2 years, they are good to almost everyone

  • @xkroNNNoS ok so what if.. he meets many new people dogs animals everyday when he is a puppy.. that'll make him used to stragers ? i read it in a pedigree guide book hehee! :D

  • @thumsupformyusername i guess so.... I don;t have friends who have dogs or pets and my dog wasn't used with oder dogs... So yes, i think it's best when he is young to take him everywhere, meet people and other dogs. it might work....

  • @xkroNNNoS ooh and thanks for everything you wrote! ^_^

  • hot dog trainer is hot

  • They dont come from ancient rome they come from Germany. Fools.

  • @MYLIFEISIRONMAIDEN yes they do come from rome if you go back you will see the romans use them herd and protect

  • 4:00 The guy is a "celebrity pet stylist"? Fashion designer isn't as gay as this. ^^

  • what i love about rottweilers is that it can be such a lovely family dog and at the same time a fearless killing machine. train a lot with them and you have a superb dog. no one would even think of harming you or breaking in your house when you have rottweiler

  • mal hıncal

  • i hate how there is so much racism towards rotties! i mean, whenever i take my 2 to the dog park people will actually leave the dog park because they're there and when i walk them people always go way out of their way to avoid them but honestly they're the kindest, most loyal dogs i have ever owed/met :)

  • @A2ZDemise Same with the my German Shepherd people don't like her :((

  • 116 people got bit by a Rottweiler and never got their insurance money ...

  • This is a good-looking powerful breed. I would love to own one someday. Do they drool a lot?

  • I still remember my dog :') She past away due to old age about two years ago, Ive had her ever since I was a little girl and she had a litter of 18 puppies. My family is filled with rotti owners. One day I came home from school but the front door was locked and I went through the back she hold something coming and barked it scared me but as soon as she saw me she calmed down. I love her. Oh and when my lab had her litter of 6 puppies I found my rotti taking care of the puppies lol.

  • "Purebred Rottweilers have been responsible for 60% of all dog related deaths in America, second only to the pit bull." Wouldn't that mean that the pit bull would have more than 60% of all dog related deaths in America?

  • @AussieAsianGrappler ...hahahaaha...that's some funny math!!!!

  • i watched this video like 1000 times and then i decided to buy a rottweiler, my rotty is 1.5 year old ..

  • @lalaR0k3r i am going to get one too. well most likely i am. how is your rot?

  • We had a rotty named taz when I was little and we would feed him EVERYTHING! LOL. My dad would get so mad.

  • I have yet to meet a Rott that I didn't trust on sight. I can tell by her owner whether she will bite me or not. I can't say the same for Chihuahua's, Goldens, Poms, Beagles, or several other breeds that have either snapped at me, or actually bitten me. My sisters dog Lucifer is the sweetest big lump o luv you've ever met. Do proper socialization and you'll have a best friend for life.

  • @FiestyCat86 thats the hood thing about rotties they let you know wayy before you get near them. poeple say they are hard to read because of docked tails. which is bullshit. proud rotty owner here

  • my first dog was a rottie and she was soooooo loyal but sadly we gave her away cuz she was reckless but they were wrong about shedding btw they dont shed tat much

  • @stephan7127 My sisters Rott sheds so bad she can walk out of the house, go to a restaurant with me, and I will leave with Rott hair on me, and we don't even have to touch. They shed worse than a cat.

  • Cant ppl just cut off the tongue too the guys cuting the tail to a rottie or any other dog too make it look cooler or something i dont get it if u dont like the hole dog face it ur get urself another race?

  • my rotwieler is only agresssive when dogs come up to the gate or when the vet puts a musle on her and when they do she can take them off which proves there intelligence

  • @shaneabo14 But do you see that its a problem that she's muzzle aggressive. She should handle a muzzle with no struggle. And if she's charging dogs through the fence you need to watch out for dog aggression and work with her on that. She's only doing what you taught her. If the vet requires a muzzle you need to get one for home and work with her on that. If she gets loose and bites you're going to loose a good dog, for no reason other than you didn't take the time to teach her good manners.

  • This show is making the dog sound evil. Don't talk about the dog as if the breed is bad and likely to snap. Explain that it's the way it was raised. This is a powerful breed dog and people don't know how to handle it.

  • When I saw the thumbnail I thought the Rottweiler was a skeleton dog.

  • audio en latino please..!!!

  • Rottweilers are loyal, friendly and vigilant but most importantly they have bundles of character and that's what makes them the best breed in my opinion.

  • @Stoigen86 Your opinion is a good opinion :'3

  • my grandma had a rotty when my sister was 3 and she could open his mouth and would say "teeth granma?? teeth" and she could jump on him and he wouldnt care

  • i shoot my Rottweiler with my air soft gun and bs bite you but not hard when dogs bite they dont know go soft mode they just know go.

  • @fargone164 you shoot your dog with an airsoft gun? i kinda want it to tear your arm off, but then the dog will be destroyed so i hope you just get run over and lose your arm

  • @uponmysoapbox1 adorable my dog loves tough love got to keep him on his toes.

  • @fargone164 Why the hell would you shoot him with a air soft gun? That's tough love to you? Do you shoot your parents, relatives, or friends with a air soft gun? I'm not talking about shooting them during a game - I'm talking randomly like you do with your dog.

  • ive seen lots of pits with massive heads

  • Thumbs up if your getting a beautiful rotty for CHRISTMAS! :)

  • My sister breeds these dogs and they are pure couch potatoes and snuggle bunnies. They've been around my nephew since he was born and they would actually check up on him ever so often to make sure he was okay. They are wonderful dogs if you know how to train them. ^^!

  • wonderful breed.they are friendly and affectionate!

  • @abower86 ur an asshole if you actully belive in that, pitbulls cant be trusted, of coruse they can, Rottwilers are bred as gaurd dogs & cattle dogs, * tread with casuhing before aproching a rottie" pitbulls arnt agressive in any way towards people since they are one of the few breeds bred not to bite man.

  • @DogSoldier011 in australia i think pitbulls are different a friend of mine had one and it was fine with children untill it matured then they had to have her destroyed.

  • @boogieou818 thats pretty sad that it happens, thats the whole downside to fixien dogs they just get nasty after, one of the reaons why i cant keep my husky with me in the city after we had her done, she turned :S she tried killing my little dog that she grew up with. sorry to hear about ur friends dog, imo i think some indiduvals are better kept entire.

  • All dogs have potential to be good companions. Rottie's are so cute, if only the people who get them would do there research, take the time to train/socialize them, or just flat out not suck.

  • They have such beautiful tails, I can't believe people dock them unless they're strictly work dogs...

  • @Heylola2 Even if there tail was hideous, there's bones, muscle and nerves in there, you don't go clipping it of!

  • @Takkiebos I meant that all tails are beautiful, they shouldn't be cut.

I really like imperfect tails. Adds a bit of character. :] Look at standard poodles! Their tails swish all prettily xD

  • it was suppose to be 16% @elimccl

  • "Purebred Rottweilers have been responsible for over 60% of all dog-related deaths in America, second only to the Pitbull." Ah, so the remaining 40% is all Pit Bulls, AND 40% is more than 60%. Gotcha. I hope that was supposed to be "sixteen."

  • I want a rottie. I think they get a bad reputation. I want a dog that will protect me but also be a loving affectionate dog.

  • @thepunkygirl3

I have a 6 year old Rottweiler, I adopted about 3 months ago, he is highly protective of me and very friendly. Good dog to get, I wouldn't get a pit bull, they can never be trusted.

  • Hey everyone, my rottie is really viscious while he is eating and today he bit me. He doesn't like anyone touching him while he is eating, how do I stop this?

  • Comment removed

  • @18rjos

Okay first off your dog is food aggressive. My dog is food aggressive towards any dog and people. I never bother or touch my dog when he is eating. Some dogs are just like that.

  • @abower86 they can be trained out of it though.

  • @18rjos from the sounds of it mate when he was a puppy you never let him know that your in charger and he knows it cause if you had taken his food from him when he was a puppy, you can stop it but it will take some work , try feeding him small bit of food and then put some on the floor and tell him to leave ,and keep doing this until he leaves it alone then put small bits in his bowl and do the same thing over again cause by then he should stop cause he should know that your in charger

  • did he say 60% percent of all dog related deaths in America

  • @unclevito777

    yeah that's accurate.

  • I love rotweilers I would take a rottie over a pitbull

  • @ferrarienzo38 i take a gsd over any dog

  • I have rotty, adopted her when she was 1 year old. I trained her from that age, and she never snapped at me or showed any signs of aggressive behavior. Now, in other case, i adopted a Chihuahua and tried to train him at 8 months old, now that dog would snap at me.. lol. Based on my experience only, i felt that chihuahuas have more aggressiveness behavior than rotties..

  • Rottweilers are excellent family dogs. As long as you are sure to let them know they can't push small kids around, that is. Their size and goofiness is what gets ours into the most trouble. She'd never bite though. We've got a 4 year old that visits. She lays on the floor and lets him pretty much torture her, and she just lays and pants happily. It's adorable. =3

  • Whats the point of owning a rottie if its not aggressive....Damn breeders nowadays are turning these dogs into pussies...

  • I heard most of the female rotties are vicious and the guys are wimps, lol

  • There are two types of rottweiler out there. Real working dogs and poodles with rottweiler colours and markings. You can find them in any dog show. True rottweiler people own sch titled working dogs and actually work them. So many people out there get these show dogs, make them fat, and are under the delusion that they'll protect them. Unless your dog is proven on the field-you have an oversized poodle. Good to see the breed declining in popularity.

  • I have a 7 year old extremely friendly shitzu, I am looking to get a Rottweiler but I'm not sure if the dogs will mix. I am highly experienced with small dogs, but I'm ready for a bigger guard dog. Rottweiler owners- should I get one?

  • @turkzil if you do, it's better to get a rottweiler puppy so that you can train them from the beginning and sensitise it with your smaller dogs.

  • @turkzil Keep in mind, Rottiweilers are NOT CHEAP TO FEED!!! My 165 rott, Zeus, goes thru a 40lb bag EASILY in 2wks if I allowed him to eat that much. He also eats leftovers, snacks & treats. A 40lb bag I try to make last 3.5 wks. I had a great job when I got him. Now that I no longer have that job. Feeding Zeus has become more like another monthly bill I have to pay. But my friend is worth every penny :)

  • My best friend has one and she is the sweetest thing ever! I was sooooo scared of her when I 1st met her I was hiding behind my best friend until she pushed me towards Rovina and now I love to hug her and play with her :3<3

  • I was walking and there was this rottweiler in a small, dirty cage I felt so bad I when to go snuggle it and my mom was so afraid she didn't let me pet it. I ran to it anyways and it was the sweetest dog in the world!!

  • @MsLabi1995 No, he didnt . Like I said, it just depends on how they are raised (:

  • Rottweilers can be either sweet, or very aggressive , depending on how you raise them. Not all rottweilers are violent. I had a Rottweiler , who was the sweetest dog you could ever meet, and was very protective. They have a big heart, and are extremely loyal dogs. Anyone would be lucky to have such a gentle dog. I had one, but my Rottweiler , Hercules, passed away at the age of 12, in July -3

  • @Kagome42596 Did he had any problem after being older than five ??? They say it becomes aggressive after being older than five !!!

  • The rottweiler in my neighborhood is the nicest dog! He's such a big teddy bear!

  • It takes a mix of genes and good training. My rotty/lab mix was as sweet as could be

  • @81jujubead You absolute turd. You aren't even capable of spelling the breed of the dog you claim to own, so how you manage to look after one is beyond me.

  • A rottweiler made me get stitches in my face (7) and broke my finger.

  • I had a Rottweiler when I was a kid up until I was like 22. Two of them to be specific. They were always nice.

  • My Pitull will kill that Rottwieller

  • @81Jujubead you sir are a joke. learn no spell first of all and second if your pitbull is traing to kill means that you are a piece of shit human being

  • @81Jujubead Noone cares just fucking love dogs.

  • i love the tail, why cut ?

  • Homework?!?!

  • My Rottie adores kids! Whenever she sees one she just runs up to them and lays down at their feet waiting for a tummy rub or starts licking their hands. Yea...it sometimes scares people when she runs up and we're working on that but everyone around us loves her. In fact the neighbors constantly come to our door and ask to play with her so she'll go to the playground with them and interact with tons of kids! The only time she got protective was when a random dog trespassed onto our yard at night.

  • AMAZING DOG!!! such a loyal friend!!!! i had one named harley and he was the sweetest thing in the world!!!! rotttie luv

  • Rottweilers are only agressive the way you raise them, any dog can be agressive if you raise it the wrong way.

  • @IDoWalkthrus There should be PSA or something so people know.

  • @IDoWalkthrus Actually, that's not necessarily true. Some dogs have a genetic disposition to being more violent or aggressive than others. It has nothing to do with how the dog was raised, it's simply pre-built into the dog's nature.

  • @IDoWalkthrus thats what my dad always said

  • @IDoWalkthrus thats true, but with its history and original reason for breeding still makes them dangerous at times. every dog is different and every dog can be trained, its just that its their genes that give them that trait not just training. thats like having two white parents and hoping your baby is going to come out colored

  • @Fuckdisworld93 did you not watch the video?

they were bred for herding, pulling and guarding!

guarding does not equal agression you know :)

  • @IDoWalkthrus yeah but if you raise a chihuahua to be mean, it can't tear you to pieces

  • i have kept rotties for over 25 years ,they are loyal faithful companions and if treated and trained correctly will become your best friend and trusted member of your family, but research is the key if you have not had one as a pet before, they can and will take advantage of any situation ,not for the feint hearted

  • Max - my rottweiler ILY MAX!<3

  • serious training? its easily the most obedient breed

  • How the Hell would 'over breeding' cause weak bones and hip displacia?? Does he mean to say less selective breeding? Quite confusing.

  • i had a Rottweiler and he would never hurt a soul, even though we never really trained him. He recently died of bone cancer

  • I know a female rottweiler and she is super friendly to everyone. She cries when we leave the backyard and tries to use her huge body to block our way out. hahahaha she's also friendly to other dogs and even let my little male dog sit on her back!

  • i miss my rottweiler :\

    rip <3

  • "Over a 20 year period, rottweilers have been responsible for 60% of all dog-related deaths, second to only the pit bull."

You'd think that the Discovery channel would understand how to do basic math.
