  • If I took a Brain Anatomy class or even Brain Psych tis would be cool. BUT I HAVE NO IDEA what just happened!

Hmm maybe a good youtube video to start me off.. any suggesions?

  • virtual 3D picture of the brain is fantastic!

  • I can use telepathy, I am looking for some place to make experiment and confirm it. My telepathy works to 100% and all the time.

  • @sabbathcrazy Anywhere but in the grocery, please!

  • Enlightenment, will you please leave this planet. We do not need idiots like you with extremely low intelligence and sensitivity on planet earth.

Get off now!! YOU'RE A WASTE OF SPACE!!

  • Super cunts of USA copied Nazism of the Brain. And now the curse of Nazi Mind Scientists on the USA. Inside the CIA - human centipede metaphor - the offensive disgust - corrupt Caucasians smelling the arse of Indian Patels, hiding under the frocks of women, the two mind perpetrators addicted in trance with the smell of each other farts! If they both live in Christian lands, have they held a Bible? if not, they should be banished to another planet or join the savages of jungles of Black Africa.

  • I love my axons because they carry information away from the cell body of my neurons! Without them, information is stagnant.

  • Beautiful stuff

  • The way we are wired, amazing, but how does God fit into this? Check us out for a video on Neurons give us some feedback!

  • cansomeone plz help me who knows anything about this thing wrong with me

a warm feeling behind the left ear im scared its a blockage or something i was doing neck exercises could be my jaw bone ?

  • Computer - brain works on Dualistic basis:

    consciousness and subconsciousness

The neurons of brain create these two levels

So, that means consciousness and subconsciousness from physical point of view, as interaction between billions and billions neurons It can only mean that the states of neurons in these two situations are different

How to understand these different states of neurons ? etc

To change our illusory consciousness is possible by Meditation

  • sleeping is a good example of a dualistic reality.

  • Is the blue light the impulse traveling in the axons and then is it showing the frontal lobe crossing the corpus callosum? TOO COOL!!!!!

  • excellent work!

  • Brain chip - CHECK MY SITE.

  • Fantasia for Cello and Bagpipe (Der Scotchmann) by J.S. Bach BWV 0

  • could anyone tell me please what`s the name of the song right in the begining ? i need it urgently

  • when the words "From Axon to Tracts 'a journey through the brains wiring' " what was that song that lasted for maybe the first 4 seconds? ...anyways very cool and nice job.

  • i really want to know this too

  • Cello suite NO.1 prelude by J.S. Bach

  • Comment removed

  • Fascinating! A really well-done video.

  • plzz the name of the soundtrack

  • what an amazing structure..

  • what´s the name of the song,? the first one..!!

    :S

  • How big is a human brain roughly? I mean some people have bigger heads than others and some are tall and look like they have small heads than smaller people. How can you tell if you have a small brain?

  • It doesn't matter how big or small your brain is, by that logic the blue whale would be the most intelligent animal on the planet, it is not, we are. It is what you put into ur brain that counts, take a computer programmer for example, if he puts rubbish in, he gets rubbish out, its the same for a human brain, just look at the creationists in America, rubbish in = rubbish out.

  • haha that made so much sense and it made me laugh to lol. But most science has come to the conclusion that gifted people do have bigger parts of the brain that they may use more. Bigger the brain does mean more intelligence but does not mean they will be more successful. Then again Neaderthals had bigger brains than us I think by like 5 pounds and they went extinct and could not build the stuff we built. Very interesting isn't it.

  • Its interesting stuff alright, i think some people have areas that are bigger, the pre-frontal cortex for example, supposedly Einstein's was very large, could be just a myth though? I wouldn't be an expert on the subject though, the field itself is very young, even the experts know very little. I'm sure there'll be some fascinating discoveries made in the coming years.

  • AGreed my friend. Consciousness is the most amazing to me. Neurotheology also to me is very interesting. Religious experiences compared to religious belief seem more natural and more believable. What do you think of the people saying we will merge with machines and robotic's will one day replace us humans for good. Like transhuman's LOL are you a atheist?

  • A blue whale's brain might be 4 times(or more) as big as ours, but their body mass is over 150x as big.

hmmmmmm....even with that imbalance of size ratio they know things we do not...and obviously vice-versa.

  • On average, the human brain is about 3.5 pounds.

Several things effect brain size, the size of your head is NOT one of them.

Men tend to have about 10% larger brains than females, however female brains tend to be more dense (none of which give any clues as to who is more intelligent).

Abuse of Alcohol has shown to shrink the brain over time; Age can effect this as well though not terribly significantly.

  • Why does head size not affect it? Some have very small heads for their body sizes. Alcohol does not shrink the brain in time anymore neither does drugs. It is just a myth and recent research suggest's that it is not true.

  • Head size has a lot to do with the shape/thickness of the skull a long with other tissues surrounding it. I'm not sure which studies you refer to, but there actually is a negative correlation with alcohol consumption and total brain volume. One article I can cite is "Drinking Alcohol Shrinks the Brain" from the Washington post. There's also the same correlation with excessive cannabis usage. Though this should be taken with a grain of salt. Less brain volume doesnt mean less intelligence.

  • If you'd like an example of head size/Brain size correlations, you can use people with gene mutations that cause various forms of gigantism. People that grown uncontrollably to over 7 feet tall. Their skulls are far larger than normal, but their brain size is not effected at all. The only thing that changes is the thickness of the skull in this case.

There's many more examples if you really want to learn about it.

you can also PM me for more information.

  • without a doubt then, size is the determining factor..

for more information please message me- unless you're female- i dont want to have to explain it over and over.

  • I would be more than happy to have an intelligent conversation with you on this subject. However I fear that you are already biased in your opinions if you have to filter out all the females in any discussion. Although I am not female, I do not want to have a discussion in which I repeat MYself over and over while you give feedback which is most likely to be irrelevant to the subject matter.

  • relax mate..i was just joking. thought i might ruffle some feathers...i know i know, it was naughty of me. i couldnt help myself when i saw the post on the gender differences. i even pointed it out to my wife- she too wasnt impressed by my inference.

  • lol! I apologize. I do see the joke now. Actually I may have seen it earlier, but interestingly enough I had a similar and extensive conversation about just that subject several times so I assumed you were just as serious as the people I spoke to.

  • It is one of the Cello Suites by Bach... don't remember which one... think it is the 2nd

  • what was I suppose to .......get out of this????

    my brain must be sleepy...

  • Super!!

  • the music was so good at the beginning... i wished it'd stayed

  • we need more like this useful stuff. thanks for sharing

  • "millions of axons" ?

More like billions or even trillions!

  • @PalluxoMediaOfficial Yeah, there is one axon per neuron. But the number of axon terminals, dendrites and synapses would be even larger!

  • @TheLoserKingdom I know this is old, but not all neurons have one axon. There are some diffuse-projecting neurons where they have multiple axons, and axon terminals. One is the cholinergic neuron that projects to the hippocampus, temporal lobe, septal nucleus etc.

  • i like it, it hits problem of how one imagines brain basing on 2d images. misconceptions also result from consequent use of latin names .

i.e. 'nuclei' are not 'nuclei' at all, they are more like routing points where neural tracts cross, surrounded by glia , thus looking like nuclei...

  • not sure why you've gotten 6 negatives. i think you've made some interesting "points". actually there are extensive theories on how drug abuse and psych issues effect the network, such as competing for receptor sites and transmitting medium composition. I'd love to see this very same video but looking at "abnormal function"..as an example.

  • I was referring to our current President who abused cocaine while also using alcohol heavily as a youth...did it affect his later functions and speaking ability with a possible early onset of dementia later on in life...which includes the last several years? that would be

a good question...although I would not excuse his actions over that, if it did affect his brain.

  • "our" president...?..no wonder i didnt get it. This is the internet. Its a global information source. My president is not yours- and i expect many who read your post had no idea what you meant either.

  • so this is the amazing human

brain that has created "endless" wars

    since the beginning of man?

how do those neurons or electrical synapses

perform after a few years of cocaine or

alcohol abuse I wonder. would we begin to be paranoid about our fellow brothers in other countries? Just my opinion. (leave it up a couple months, thank you.)

  • coolx!

  • im gonna pop some some ecstasy next time i watch that.

  • that was the most party-like journey through the human brain ive ever been on!
