@pbl1 Mark's a great picker in his own right, but their styles are actually both unique. Buckingham's technique is all his, no one plays like that, with the banjo chord influence and eccentric tunings. The closest I've ever seen is an old video or Paul McCartney playing "Yesterday" on an Acoustic guitar (on "Shindig" I think). He's another self-taught, play by ear guy and his technique was as wacko as Lindsey's.

Buckingham is the total package, great song writer, fantastic guitar player, amazing singer, producer. No other rocker can match his many talents, a living legend. Timeless.
